Summary

They thought they were safe, somewhat hidden from the world. They were wrong.

They thought they knew how to protect themselves and each other. They were wrong again.

In the blink of an eye, they lost people, good people, who were trying to help others. When the evil outside the farm finds its way in, how will they react? Will they hide themselves away, or join in the fight for survival and freedom? They've paid the ultimate price. How much more will this new way of life cost them?

is the pain ever gone?

I loved this entire series. This 3rd book was the perfect ending even tho I was not wanting it to end. It sweeps you along on a ride that you can see in your mind. I found myself with tears and smiles and laughter. Thanks Patty for
such a great series.

Sad it’s over!

Book three of the series does not disappoint! Author did a great job tying up the ends but I’m going to miss the characters. I have listened to more books in the genre than I can count and this series is in my list of favorites! That being said I’ve never liked when the narrator changes in a series but I know sometimes that can’t be helped, thankfully it didn’t take away from the story which sometimes happens. I have to add, because I thought about it several times while listening, that with all the talk about weekly heavy rains I would have been outside in the nude with a bar of soap and shampoo lol. To P.A. Glaspy, you are an author and a very good one! Keep up the good work and I look forward to your next book. Oh and something to think about if you write another book where the power is out, I would grab every kind of solar light I came across, I haven’t read about any group doing that in all the many books I have listen too lol!

Good Book Horrible Naration

Why would you take a good story line and allow some to do such a horrible job portraying your work. Totally disappointed.
Don’t even think I will finish the series.
A career ending move!

Perspective wasn't enough

I got this series because of author and her female/woman's/wife/mother perspective on prepping. While there were some technical errors I found while listening, that as a whole I enjoyed the story and performance. However, in this installment the narrator was changed from Jennifer Groberg to Sarah Rohrbacker. I did attempt to listen to the narrator and give her a chance but after approximately 15 minutes I just couldn't tolerate her voice further. As I re-listen to my stories at a later date I cannot fathom having to go back and listen to the 1st and 2nd books... knowing... that the 3rd has Sarah Rohrbacker. So, not only did I return this audible book but the entire series. I will move on to the other books by P.A. Glaspy in the hope that either Jennifer Groberg is the narrator or someone else of equal or better caliber.

Awesome ending for the series!

Well built characters. Fanastic storyline that continues from the preceding trio! In a year, I will listen to the entire trilogy again. a little hard to transition narrators, but I understood that going in.

Good Story

Couldn't wait for this 3rd installment and was happy when I saw it in the audible store however wish the narrator would have stayed the same as in the first 2 books!

Amazing voice actress

The story was good, but the voice actress was phenomenal, I can't wait for more from her. Would listen to the book at least 1 more time just so I can hear the story again. Love the way the voice actress pronounces the word, "Pineapple" don't know why must listen to the book at least once just so you can hear her say it.
