when she was bad!!!!!

what an amazing story! I was hooked from the first chapter, so much so that I had to finish it in one sitting. The characters were totally believable, the plot unfurled like an onion - layer upon layer giving you insights into each character. The narrator's voice was brilliantly mesmerising too. I'm looking forward to the next book from this author.

Utterly compelling

First of all, huge credit to Avita Jay for her myriad voices and accents. That's a huge amount of work for any narrator and I was very impressed. I thought the story was genius, it struck a genuine cord. Your work colleagues, who you see every day, become central players in your life, but how well do we really know them? How often, once you've left a particular job, do you never see or speak to them again? I though Tammy Cohen created a 'perfect storm' with this story, multi layered and intriguing, it was easy to see where the book was going but impossible to work out who you were going there with. I highly recommend this clever and absorbing thriller. You can thank me later!!

Stick with it!

Well worth a read. Found some characters a bit dull, but the narration was excellent! Great story, and I didn’t guess the ending!

Confusing

What did you like best about When She Was Bad? What did you like least?

I didn't dislike this book. It kept my interest with its 'who is it' theme but there were moments when I found the narrative extremely dull. It was a good story and a clever idea but far too long. It will transfer well to the screen ( probably as a TV series) and overall as I say it was not too bad.

puzzling plot

not sure if I missed something but there was no explanation why they felt how they did about the son. some very good accents in the narration.

a great read

it was one of those that you can't wait to pick up again because you want to know what's going to happen to the characters who you feel like you know personally!
too often books like this are a bit outlandish or the characters lack depth. not an issue here. it was thrilling because it's all too plausible....loved it!

Weak characters. Stupid story line. suspense....non existent.

About 10 or so characters which are all instantly forgettable. The story was beyond stupid and was trying way too hard to keep us guessing as to which boring character was up to no good.
