Özet

predicable and very annoying main character, found the narration painful each word drawn out and rather affected.

awful narration

The story was good and held my attention. I quite like that the ending left room for a sequel. What will happen next?
I found the narration grating. So formal- like an elocution class, and when the two women were supposedly teenagers, they sounded like 7 year olds.

Kept my attention and wanted to carry on listening.

The main character is so weak and annoying. Her actions are not believable and just outright stupid again and again. The background stories don’t amount to much. Also there’s a bit of male manipulation going on - she almost dies because of a secret her husband kept but he manages to turn it around on her and we’re supposed to understand him as the reader.

It’s strange listening to a book where the author brings up the places I live.. really good book

I suffered through this book just a few days before my new credit arrived. It was frustrating at times especially with such a naive main character. The narration was quite poor to boot. Have enjoyed a really good book by this author recently so wanted to have a further look. Bit of a let down.
