Özet

The final book in the thrilling Death and the Devil series. Ethan is finally free. He’s left the Cabal behind and embraced a civilian life with Jack, the man he loves. The only problem is that the Cabal isn’t willing to let him go. A call in the middle of the night and a threat to Jack’s family, and Ethan is back in the game. The only way out is to take on the organization that spent years warping his life.

Jack’s boyfriend has a way of vanishing on him, but this time Ethan’s disappearance is more frightening than ever. A trail of mysterious clues, a hit against his family, and the handprint of the Cabal on everything mean the greatest test of love and determination Jack has ever endured.

Torn apart by forces greater than they are, Jack and Ethan must fight harrowing battles to get back to each other. The Cabal is the greatest foe either of them has had to face. Ethan is willing to throw away everything to bring an end to the Cabal’s evil. And Jack is willing to do the same to make sure Ethan comes out the other side alive.

What an amazing third book to conclude the series. I've loved this series from the being, its kept me hooked with great plot, suspense, action and the growing relationship between Ethan and Jack. I loved that this book had both Ethan's and Jack's point of view through the book and the way it was done was brilliant. The narration by Rowan Scott was excellent I hope he does more narration. I highly recommend this series.

Well this book had me sat on the edge biting my nails almost all the way through.
And that ending I really thought it was true ( no I’m not telling you ) i was almost in tears which is something for me as I don’t do crying at books.

Excellent Conclusion

I can't believe this is it. I need more! Ethan & Jack did not have it easy for them and watching their relationship develop was a crazy ride. Now I'm addicted...

This last book was a punch in the gut. They had already been through so much and I thought this time things would fall into place, but no, of course not. This was the most angsty book of the series, and I struggled to get through some parts.

I wish I could rate it 5 stars, but with all the violence and heavy plot, plus the lack of humor and banter present in the previous books, I just couldn't enjoy it as much as I had anticipated.

TW for violence on page, both physical and mental, involving the MCs.

* Perfect narration, I'll miss Mr. Scott's voice and accents.
