Fairly predictable love story, I was eventually waiting for it to end. But nice simple story line.

This is my fourth or fifth read/listen to this series (over the last 30ish years)! I just adore these books from Janette Oke and have done since my teens. This is a great introduction to Elizabeth and how she adapts to this new life!

It’s different from the show and I kind of like that I get to see Elizabeth as Janette envisioned her. She still relies on others but shows more mettle to her brains :)
