Summary

Moms are desperate to know what makes their sons tick and how to be welcome influences in their lives. And unlike many other books about raising boys, this warm and trustworthy resource is from a mom's perspective.

Through compelling true stories and solid principles, this book offers a blueprint for what sons need from their moms to become healthy, caring, confident young men. With specific advice for boys' different ages, moms will learn the balance between controlling and letting go, how to cultivate their sons' unique masculinity, how to encourage a lasting relationship with God, and much more.

Robot voice!

I cannot listen any further. I have listened for 10 minutes and I CANNOT tell you what I listened to. I am so distracted by the narration. Robotic and unpleasant. Such a shame as I really felt I needed to hear this book right now but I cannot endure that narration.

Good Book. Poor choice for narration.

This is a good book. But it was hard to get through for me because the narrator was so robot/mechanical sounding it was distracting.

Awful narration!

I couldn’t even listen to this book 5 minutes because of the narrator! It sounds like a robot is reading it! No inflection, and completely annoying! Total waste of money on this one since I will not be able to listen to it!!

Great book

Really enjoyed the book, felt it was overly religious at times but the messages were clear and kind and gives me great tools to work with

Valuable information

Asa new mom, I was looking for information that resonated with me and the way I wanted to raise my son. This was information and what I loved were the examples and how the book gave advice for all stages of growth.

If you are religious you might like this book

I am not a religious person. I feel like I wasted my credits on this book because it talks about praying and God a lot! To me that's not a solution to anything. It should probably say it in the preview that it's coming from a religious point of view. It did have some good advice at first but had to stop after chapter 4. Not happy with this book. Heads up to the mommas that would get this book, it is sprinkled with God, talk of prayers and bible quotes.

Too religious

I don’t know if I will finish this book. There is so much religion sprinkled in that I did not expect based on the book’s description. Not sure if I will finish (and also the reader does sound like a robot).

Excellent guidebook for Moms of Boys!

As soon as I finished it I wanted to start it over and listen again! It's so very timely with so much practical advice and encouragement for moms during those difficult pulling away years.

Too religious

I liked how the book began, but as it progressed it got more and more religious. I am a very open minded individual, and grew up in a Lutheran atmosphere. I would have liked to enjoy this book without having religion shoved down my throat. Tried to skip chapters to continue the book, but couldn’t finish it.
