Summary

In just a few short years, massive shifts in public opinion have radically reshaped society's views on homosexuality. Feeling the pressure to forsake long-held beliefs about sex and marriage, some argue that Christians have historically misunderstood the Bible's teaching on this issue. But does this approach do justice to what the Bible really teaches about homosexuality?

In this timely audiobook, award-winning author Kevin DeYoung challenges each of us - the skeptic, the seeker, the certain, and the confused - to take a humble look at God's Word. Examining key biblical passages in both the Old and New Testaments and the Bible's overarching teaching regarding sexuality, DeYoung responds to popular objections raised by Christians and non-Christians alike - offering listeners an indispensable resource for thinking through one of the most pressing issues of our day.

Clear, Faithful Biblical Explanation

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. DeYoung does an excellent job of explaining the Biblical position clearly and faithfully, in a both gentle, but assertive manner. Although he is admittedly writing from a position of defending the traditional view of marriage, he fairly represents the opposing viewpoints, and is not unkind or ungracious in his responses. Would recommend to anyone seeking answers or struggling with their own perspective on this issue.

Great, accessible analysis

This book is for anyone who is seeking wisdom regarding an area of life that has great currency at this time. DeYoung's exegesis is thoughtful and thorough. Not everyone will like what he has to say--but everyone should concede that he does not leave any stones unturned. A must read for Christians!

Not just about homosexuality, but about sin

God loves us and Jesus has covered all of our sins if we accept that gift. Sin is sin no matter what label humans put on it.

Well researched and a strong debate

I'm a believer, and one leaning progressive, but long questioning the church on this subject. I've wondered and prayed about the subject of homosexuality and it's impact on many of my friends and family members.

Regardless of your stance, it's always better to be learned about a subject instead of ignorant. To that end, this is a very well researched, thorough exploration of the biblical perspective toward homosexuality. It may or may not impact your beliefs on the subject, but I guarantee it will give information you didn't have before.
