About this listen

Finally reunited with her family, Caly struggles to adjust to her new life and the decisions she made to get there.

After giving up everything for them, she eagerly awaits the ceremony to receive the second half of her heart and become whole, even though it comes at an unsettling cost. She must marry Prince Aurelius and solidify her place within the Seelie Court.

As she prepares for the event, Caly finds herself haunted by the memory of Malum Mendax, the Unseelie Prince—feeling his eyes are on her when she's alone, shadowy silhouettes in her room, and even touching him in her dreams.

What Caly doesn't know is that it's more than just his memory that haunts her. Malum Mendax has returned to punish his pet and those who took her away from him.

The plot is amazing, even I couldn't predict it. The narrators did an amazing job! If you like dark romance fantasy with action, this is for you!

This books deserves more hype!

I’m really loving this story. The narrators are doing a great job, although I’d prefer if every spicy scene wasn’t shouted. Also the female narrator sounds like she’s reading without having read the story beforehand sometimes which is making Callie seem incredibly detached.
The pacing is also really off. Something will be going on and then suddenly something else happens so quickly you’re totally thrown off as to what is happening. The book is too short for everything that is happening. I love the why choose trope but again, it kind of seems like Callie doesn’t care as much for M as she should because of the detachment. I don’t know. I also don’t like how in this and the first book I am deceived as a reader on several instances. It makes for an unpleasant reading experience. And the death at the end of this book is unforgivable and will totally ruin the story going forward. Apart from these things I’m hooked. I love M.

Great story weird pacing

Hmm not sure how to rate this. The first book was incredible and I was eager to book 2. First, we should get some trigger warnings, there is heavy violence here. Second, the characters seemed bland in this book, as they literally changed personalities. Is enjoyable but way less interesting than book 1
