Summary

The scale can be a very dangerous site for many women going through a weight loss journey. The numbers fluctuate so much, and we can end up staring at those three little symbols more than we pay attention to our own bodies. People might think that they’re still overweight just because they don’t weigh as little as a friend, disregarding what their bodies even look like. You should try to avoid the scale as much as possible and only weigh yourself throughout longer periods of time.  

Weigh yourself at the same time: Our bodies will change a lot throughout the day, so if you are inconsistent with time, that can affect your results. Don’t weigh daily! Please, please, please do not weigh yourself every day or every other day. I would say once a week is the maximum. Anything more than that will just cause you to be emotional. One day you might weight 198, the next day 203, and that can cause you to feel terrible about yourself. You might go off track with your diet even though if you had weighed yourself the third day, you’d weigh 197. Our weight fluctuates depending on what we eat, our bowel movements, and the water that we’re retaining. Don’t let this affect you negatively! 

Sometimes we have to gain a little more weight before we lose it. Remember that your weight loss isn’t going to be consistent. You are going to lose a lot more in the beginning than you will later on. You might lose 20 pounds in a month, but the next month only 10. This is because when we first start off, we lose a lot of water weight. As time goes on, you’re going to lose weight less consistently, but don’t let this discourage you. It is part of life!

Disappointed!

the lady narrating the book and it's a serious book too has NO feeling in her voice, there is no creative reading it's all mono tone, albeit the book may work I don't think I will have the patience to sit listen to the techniques delivered here. Disappointed to say the least!

This is absolutely the best one

A good short audio to the point very interesting and informative. I will use more of the affirmations. A good first listen for others wanting to learn to meditate.
