Welcome to North Falls. A small town where everyone knows everyone. But nobody knows the truth.

Emmy Clifton has lived here all her life. She thinks she knows her neighbours. She's wrong.

She thinks it’s just another hot summer night: a night like any other. She's wrong.

When her best friend's daughter asks for help, she thinks it’s just some teenage drama. She thinks it can wait. She’s never been more wrong in her life.

As the town ignites in the wake of the girl's disappearance, Emmy throws herself into the search. But then she realises: You never really know a town until you know its secrets.

Is Emmy ready for the truth?

Editorial Review

Small town, big secrets
Karin Slaughter is one of those authors I always turn to when I want a story that completely pulls me in. We Are All Guilty Here focuses on a small Southern town in the United States where a violent crime sends shockwaves through a community full of secrets. I’m intrigued that this isn’t just a whodunit, but more of a “what did we all do?” I’ve got a feeling it will leave us questioning everything—and talking about it long after. Expect a slow-burn suspense that packs a serious emotional punch. If you loved Pieces of Her or Pretty Girls, this one should already be in your wish list. —Dawn G., Audible Editor

Liked the twist at the end.
Would have been nice for Emmy to realise her relationship with her mum

I completed this book in five days but couldn’t stop thinking about the next chapter. I would have completed sooner if work hadn’t gotten in the way 😁.

Enticing, exciting and wonderful twists

The story is ok. There are a lot of names and people which makes it difficult to follow, especially in the beginning. Some characters give off bad vibes and turn out to be bad, which is nice.
It should come with a CSA trigger warning though - there are some rough parts in it

Good overall but not my favorite

Patricia Cornwall hits is out of the park again with this non-stop thriller, combining the most evil parts of humanity with beauty and faith in the things which matter to us most.

Hooked…
