Summary
Three prominent world figureheads disappear following the World Summit in Kuala Lumpur. The following day, US President John Remy is found dead in his hotel room.

Good storyline, let down by narration and editing
The story was good. A nice little plot with twists and turns. I love the addition of ancient alien themes. The narrator was good until he tried to do the cockney accent. Dick Van dyke springs to mind! but the main problem for me was the editing. There are many sections that should have been edited out, for example when the narrator was adjusting the tone of speech. Usually this wouldn't bother me but it was so frequent, it became annoying.

Poorly narrated poorly plotted
The reviews for this audiobook looked good in terms of stars it was only when I went back to check I noticed there were only 2 reviews. A salutary tale indeed as on listening to I found it to be very poor both in terms of plotting and execution.
I really like the lost ancient civilisation theme and have read a lot about it so I was looking forward to this.
Overall the style is poor and the plotting too symplistic and cliched. The characters throughout do stupid unbelievable things and don’t anticipate the obvious. Moreover a lot of the plot points rely on crude mistakes or unbelievable outcomes which just leave you cold.
The plot itself was just too linear and predictable with virtually no suspense being created . The ancient aliens bit is just too trite and simplistic to help the novel. My overall impression was that the author had not really bothered to use his imagination to develop the themes dealt with and do something interesting with them.
I did wonder how this had got past a publisher but this was answered at the end by revealing it was self published.
The narration of the novel plunged it into an altogether more terrible dimension with dreadful accents and hammy delivery.
To be honest I am surprised I listened to the end but I did to see if it improved but it did not.
This is truly terrible and I would avoid it. With some creative effort and a decent narrator the idea could have been a good one.
