Following his long military service in the war, Falcon is left to raise his two small children alone when his wife passes away.

Fascinating short story giving a glimpse into a devastated United States where food water and short supply and greenery is a luxury that few people see why it would take from this story is it tells you to appreciate what you have and not be angry for what you don't have or something like that. Well written good characters, interesting setting.
