About this listen

The thrilling conclusion to the breakout Malediction Trilogy by Goodreads Choice finalist Danielle L. Jensen.

Cécile and Tristan have accomplished the impossible, but their greatest challenge remains: defeating the evil they have unleashed upon the world.

As they scramble for a way to protect the people of the Isle and liberate the trolls from their tyrant king, Cécile and Tristan must battle those who'd see them dead. To win, they will risk everything. And everyone.

But it might not be enough. Both Cécile and Tristan have debts, and they will be forced to pay them at a cost far greater than they had ever imagined.

No book has made me care or cry so hard for fictional characters. Simply amazing.

Unforgettable

Although this one was uncomfortably predictable, the characters and world creation is addictive…. So…. I will 100% be reading the next lol. I really enjoy Erin Moon’s narration.

I wish the book hadn’t been quite so predictable. It seemed so silly that the characters couldn’t figure out so many obvious things, or maybe they were just made too obvious in general?

Danielle is really great writer though and it’s one of those stories that just seem to flow so effortlessly. I love the troll world, as funny as the whole thing is.

I kind of wish it had a different cover - there is quite a bit of gore and horror in a way, from animal sacrifice to gruesome torture, family politics and a touch of spice…. The cartoon cover (plus, characters in general on covers) just doesn’t do it justice.

A bit predictable but still addictive
