Summary
Battle-weary after a desperate fight to save Earth from the Drasin alien onslaught, Confederation Captain Eric Weston is tasked with a perilous new mission. He and the crew of the Odysseus must hunt down those who unleashed the hellish attack on his homeworld and that of Earth's Priminae allies.
But the situation turns dire when they catch sight of a ship belonging to the mysterious beings who orchestrate the fearsome Drasin's depredations. This powerful Empire, it seems, has two primary aims: to conquer new worlds and settle old scores. Weston's ultimate objective: keep humanity from becoming collateral damage as the Drasin war expands to engulf the galaxy.

Really enjoyed the story but not the inconsistency in character accents. Looking forward to the next book.

Excellent book
So far I have listened twice, it is riveting stuff. From the explanation of the science the descriptions of the battles it’s impossible to put down.

Fantastic Story, fantastic narrator!
Extremely well written and engaging story made even better by the Narrator David de Vries. Listened to all of the Odyssey series and each one as excitingbas the last!

Simple but a bit short
Maybe I have been tainted by the last audio book that was 40hrs but at 8 this seemed very short. Great story narrator is ok . It would like a greater variation in the narration. Maybe you should do 2 episodes as the only logical choice at this point is for the earth to use the drasin to threaten the empire into MAD
