I was a bit cautious about getting this book as I am fan of cato and macro. But this is really interesting and really well written. I'm going to get the next one in this series for sure. Excellent, performance. One note for the producer's. There is an issue in the books recording. I think around the start of the next to last chapter there is a about 5 minutes where the sound it's in and out. you might need to check it out. I don't know if you have beta listeners who can report on these thing's, but if you have a programme I would very very interested in giving feedback and reporting any issues. contact me on my Audible email.

I didn't read the enovella series I waited for the book versions. I have now listened to the first two and will immediately seek the third although currently I am struggling to discover if the next novel has even been written as I only got this one a couple of weeks ago as I had it in ore order for the day it was released and started listening to it within a couple of days. THat should really tell you all you really need to know . Buy the first one and start listening if you like Christian Cameron, Ben Kane or even David Gemmell your house mma love this and the guy is a great narrator. I own maybe a couple of hundred audio books and this guy along with the like George Guidall, Simon Vance or Peter Noble is in my Top 10 readers.

Ok, I admit. I am huge Scarrow fan and have read all his books. This time. however, I decided to listen to one. I was not disppointed. Brilliantly written, captivating story, gripping characters...this was a typically superb Scarow story. Add to it a narrator at the top of his game and you have a thouroughly enjoyable few hours. I truly struggled to pause this one.

The only thing better than reading a Scarrow book is listening a superlative reading of one.

Another brilliant book bringing history to life. Characters well researched and written. Action scenes keeps you on the edge of your seat. Narration - Keeble is a master !
