I survived my first year at Witch College, so I figured summer break would be the easy part — yeah, right.

I've got a coven that keeps growing, a Family name older than most of the Council, and a mother who's been alive this whole time — somewhere past a bridge in West Virginia she went off of twenty years ago.

Chasing that trail means werewolves, a Family that trades its own daughters like stock options, and a night in a Louisiana graveyard cutting a deal with the dead.

Second year at Willowmere isn't any calmer. Gabriel's still out there doing something worse than killing witches. The Patriarchy didn't end in that farmhouse. And the oldest, hungriest witch in the old country has decided my coven owes her a debt none of us agreed to — and she's coming to collect.

My coven is stronger than ever, and I'm going to need every bit of it.

Last year, all I had to do was survive.

This year, I have to be worthy.

I hope the author sees this. I love the first 3 books and will revisit them in the near future amongst my other favourite books. However, I found the current book up to chapter 25 hard to chew. The expected development is there, especially the areas where the girl try to teach him - "add to list" is the phrase. When will he actually learn? That's my first roadblock.

2nd, patience is a virtue, but the relationship development and his "missing the signs" of their affection or interest is too much of the stereotypical MC being a good but naive or good but blind or good but slow on emotional needs. Good guy just slightly more stupid than in the first 3 books, at least to me. The first 2 points really leans towards a big improvement later in the book or the next book. But screams slow pace or slow development.

lastly, ... Sam says, Rachel says, add 3 more of these dialogue place holders back to back to BACK and it becomes annoying! I've deleted all 4 books once so far out of frustration and downloaded them back after calming down and listening to another book. I've invested too much money to watch you fail!

edit: upped the star count to 4 but my complaints still stand. Why is he still clueless at the end of the book?! with no attempt to improve.

Slight disappointment

The only negative is that I wished it was longer! It is a good continue of the story, and I can hardly wait for the next!

Another amazing book in the series

Honestly, a genuinely brilliant addition to the series, well worth the wait and enjoyable throughout. The world building is superb with the audience learning about the wider world at the same rate as Noah .
At moments it can feel a bit like nothing is happening , yet the writing doesn’t reflect that, making what could be space filler into strong world building and progression. My only gripe is that now I have to wait for the next in the series.
Kudos and I can’t wait to see how things pan out.

Fantastic entry

A fun trip out with Noah and his girls, with fun twists and turns. As always Kensington does not disappoint. Now we just need to cut his Pizza (and Hurricane!) allowance until the next one is done (I would say the series, but I am not that harsh and don't want it rushed).

Amazing, just as expected.

Yet again, such an amazing listen. Fantastic story and fantastic performance. I'm already impatiently waiting for book 5.

Just fantastic
