Loved it

Amazing thoroughly enjoyed it and I hope they make more for sequels. Better than the 40,000 version

Not just for young adults

Being fed up of Games Workshop novels being about space marines, and being starved for Age of Sigmar stories, I thought I would give this new young adult series a chance. I have to say I am very impressed.

The story while quite short, moved along at a reasonable pace, characters were interesting, and there was plenty of interesting ideas and plot points set up for both this book, and future installments.

As for the narration, I was very intrigued as to whether Billie Piper would do a universe such as Age of Sigmar justice. I am very happy to report that in my opinion she does a fantastic job of narrating this story, with particular highlights being her interpretation of the high pitched chittering of the Skaven. I will look forward to listening to more performances from Billie in the future.

Overall I am very impressed with this book, like all good young adult books this story manages to be easily accessible to young children, whilst also being an enjoyable lighter listen for adults, topped off with a fantastic vocal performance. I highly recommend.

Rollicking good kids book

This is a good inoffensive story that shows the mortal realms of the Age of Sigmar from the point of view of a group of children, albeit gifted ones. It's not too long, has good characters and nice pantomime villains. Would be great for young kids or just to fill some time with a slightly different take on Warhammer.

It’s good but....

Didn’t notice that it was only 2 hours until after purchase. A whole credit for 2 hours? Meh.

Much better than expected!

I got this book because I'm a huge warhammer 40k fan, as well as a Doctor who fan. While I like 40k, I'm pretty new to the warhammer Age of Sigmar story line. Combine this with I feel that most of the 40K books I have read have been pretty lack luster. Stories need to be relatable to draw the audience in. in 40K, I have always been disappointed in the character development, because the main characters commonly aren't human, and they are being put in situation that are completely unimaginable in our world.

None of this was a problem in this book. The fact that it was AoS seemed to make it easier to have a relatable character in a more fantasy genera that already exists. I was immediately drawn into the story, and while I know the book was short, I ended up finishing it in 1 sitting. It really did a great job at pacing and didn't make me feel like it was written for a little kid. Highly suggested for all ages.

Great Kids novel

Great story, held true to the narrative and lore of Age of Sigmar but worded so kids can get a good grasp on the overwhelming amount of world building there is.

Ok I was surprised how much I enjoyed it.

I have to admit, I was not happy with the initial change to the game. It drove me away.
Now I am just learning what was actually done to the Beloved Old World...and l kinda like it. So I may have to blow the dust off my Rats and finish painting them.

While this is not what could be considered Great. For the target audience(younger readers...aka.kids), it is a good start

And as I am a kid (with 30+ years of experience). I feel confident saying, keep up the good work.
