I loved listening Pestilence then along comes War and steals the limelight from Pestilence.
Miriam has to come to terms when War tells her she was sent to him to be his wife. She is so defiant she’s having none of this nonsense and at every turn she defies him he tells her he knew she was going to be trouble from the start. Loved the way the story built making me want more and I sat up all night listening. I’m going to start Famine now and can’t wait to listen to Death when it’s released.

Enjoyable listen but a few niggles, including the transformation of outlook that seems to come about out of nowhere. Would have enjoyed it a lot more if that transition was more convincing.

There’s nothing I didn’t like about this really - I enjoyed the story and how it flowed. Slow burn that built a bit of spice into the story, however it wasn’t core to it. It was maybe a bit monotonous at times for me but again I still loved the story, character development and the links to past and future characters. You were pulled into their life and how friendships and relationships grew over a longer period of time.

It was a while ago when I listened to the first but I’ll be going straight into the next one as I had forgotten how much I loved the narrator! Her male voice for War’s parts is brilliant and I forgot I was listening to just one narrator at times!

Did Sara and Victor have a boy or a girl?

Ok back to this story.
Characters: good, like how they grow.
Story: wonderful. I was so invested that I couldn’t put it away.
I can’t wait for the 3rd brother and his story.
