Summary

England, 1346. For Thomas Blackstone the choice is easy - dance on the end of a rope for a murder he did not commit, or join the king's invasion. As he fights his way across Northern France, Blackstone learns the brutal lessons of war.

Vastly outnumbered, Edward III's army will finally confront the armoured might of the French nobility on the field of Crécy. It is a battle that will change the history of warfare.

Great story but when did Will Longdon become welsh

Okay let me just start by saying overall I really enjoyed the books, once I got over the change of narrator from the 1st 2 books, I was able to settle back into the story, but what has really perplexed me is how and why did Will Longdon become Welsh in the 4th book!!! Really threw me off and just couldn't understand how the the same narrator from book 3 would suddenly change it in book 4!!!

New Sheriff in town !!

well It's official. Bernard Cornwell is hanging by his finger tips to the No. 1 slot and that's through loyalty. This series can only be described as superb in the telling, the characters and most of all in the writtig. Next please!!
