Summary

In the Virginia countryside outside of Washington, DC, Addy Wentworth was on a mission to make a new life for herself.

When the opportunity arose, she settled in horse and wine country. Experiencing more than her fair share of tragedy and loss, she had plans for her future, one where failure wasn’t an option. And not just because people and cows were counting on her. She’d poured everything she had into her struggling vineyard, because once she’s in, she’s all in.

After giving himself wholly to the job for 10 years, Crew Vega was done. He’d fulfilled his commitment, done his duty, gone above and beyond to settle the score. And the score was high. All he had to do was train his replacements, and he’d be out for good. He had a plan, one that didn’t include getting involved with his new neighbor, a woman who not only kept cows for pets, but treasured her employees as family, and understood him better than anyone ever had before. But then he learned a high level CIA target being investigated for treason was keeping tabs on her...and he never planned on that. Like everything Crew Vega did in life, when he goes in, he’s all in.

Includes Until the Tequila, a bonus novella from from The Killers series.

It took some time for me to get used to the female narrator's voice but after a while I loved her voice! For anyone who struggles, persevere.
I loved the story itself. It was very interesting.
I totally recommend this! 👌

This story and the performance just hit in all the right spots! I absolutely loved it and will definitely be reading more in this series.

A great plot line and beautifully written characters and a cheeky little extra novella added on to the end, which was a spin off of two characters from the novel, that was just as good as the main story!

We have a strong headed FMC and a gorgeous soul of an MMC who also happens to be a retired contract killer for hire. He moves into the property next door and they meet over an escaped cow. Their stories become intertwined when the MMC finds out something about the FMCs past that is connected to his present. As much as they try to fight it, they are soul mates and the inevitable happens.
There are also some great side characters who I assume the next novels in the series are based on.

Dual narration was excellent with believable character portrayal. The production was faultless.

A five star read for me and I can't wait to read more in the series!

Loved loved loved this book!

This promises to be an excellent new series of books to listen to. This was free, but I have already used credits to download the next two, as I know that they're going to be worth it.

Lots of twists and turns, in both the excellent main book, and the equally great bonus novella. Also a lot of hot, passionate scenes too, so if you don't enjoy lots of sex in your action books, this won't be for you!

This is a new author to me, but I will definitely listen to more, after I have worked my way through the rest of the Killers series.

Jason Clarke is already one of my favourite narrators, but Kit Swann was new to me. Loved her Southern accent and narration of all of the female characters, but her voice for male characters isn't as strong as many female narrators, so I occasionally missed that she had changed to the male counterparts words at first. Definitely not a big enough issue to stop me listening to the rest of the series, or anything else she narrates, it just requires careful listening.

Overall, I loved it, and would give it 10 stars if I could!

Excellent!
