Summary

A bundle of three audiobooks about the Viking history and mythology.

Book One: This audiobook is an in-depth look at the Viking Age, and the deeds and daily lives of these ancient, sometimes mysterious people. The Vikings of Scandinavia were heroic, adventurous, and often barbaric, but there can be no debate that they were also a people with big aspirations. Viking culture is still a topic of interest today, and this offers an insight into just how enduring their legacy is.

Book Two: In this audiobook, Norse Mythology: A Concise Guide to the Gods, Heroes, Sagas, Rituals, and Beliefs of Norse Mythology, the listener will be transported to the ancient customs of beliefs of the ancient Vikings of the North. This audiobook is dedicated to exploring the gods and goddesses that the Norse worshiped.

Book Three: The Tale of a Viking Warrior King delves into the mystery surrounding the Viking warrior who conquered European nations and became a king in his own right. Over nine centuries after the death of this great warrior, ancient poems, songs, and sagas about him still remain today. This audiobook considers the facts as we know them, the myths attributed to Ragnar, and the way this iconic heathen from the North continues to impact modern culture today.

Excellent

I rarely give 5 stars, so I'm giving this 4. But heyy, it's one heck of a guide to viking myths.

The gods have spoken

The viking gods have been waging war and falling in love and controlling the earth's elements. Hahaah!

Did you notice the 3 in 1?

Yes, it's three books in one. I really enjoyed listening to the gods and goddesses, like Freya and Odin, and all the other related topics.

Three books, three thumbs up... wait...

If I had 3 thumbs, I would give it 3 thumbs up, but I don't. Anyway, to make this review a little helpful, let me just say that I loved the story of Ragnar Lothbrok or whatever his name is, and I also thought the background history of the vikings was interesting. Nothing about that one I didn't already know, but Ragnar was completely new to me.

Smart

I like that they put 3 titles in one. All about the norse, the vikings, and Ragnar Lothbrok is in there. I guess you don't have to buy the individual books if you got this one.

Love this!!!

This book is an attempt to make those ignored aspects clearer to those who are most interested, in that hopes that we can cherish a real and authentic account of Vikings and their related tales and mythologies.

Nice books

This is a 3 in 1 titles book, so it contains vikings, norse mythology and Ragnar Lothbrok, in case you didn't know. Very nice to listen to.

Ragnar and Odin and Freya

I played Viking on the xbox 360 and I've watched Thor a lot, so I was wondering what the real myths were behind it. This book delivered quite well.

Viking mythology is great

I loved the story of Freya and Hel, especially after playing "Viking" on the xbox 360 and the foreknowledge of Asgard.
