Summary

Integrity Taylor has regained possession of her ancestral lands - and inherited a whole host of new problems. The specter of what really happened to her parents is casting a shadow over everything, while Fomori demons are being sighted up and down the Highlands. It doesn't help that Aifric Moncrieffe still seems determined to see her dead, and emerald-eyed Byron remains stubbornly blind to his father's true nature.

Integrity is determined to stay in control of her own destiny, however, even if it means confronting the darkness across the Veil yet again. And at least she's still got a sense of humor....

Good fantasy series

It's like Harry Potter and Hunger Games mixed in with a splash of Leverage the tv show.

Can't wait for the next one!

This heroine I'd one of my favorites created by Helen Harper. There's a solid storyline, character development and witty humor here! Start with book one in the series. You'll finish them all in no time flat!

What's inside?

After thr games the MC and her crew of marry thrives, come together on the desolate lands of MCs long dead clan. And it's not pretty! The land was salted so that everything would die and never grow again. The building have the abandoned, returning to nature vibe. Then there is the land that used to be Ireland long ago. And what's inside.

Great pacing

Both the story and the narrator had a fantastic pace. All of the books have been very different. First a travel group adventure, then a contest, and now covert ops into enemy territory. It makes each book different and unique.

Captured me

This series has captured my attention. I have listened to this twice and will probably do so again as I work around the house. I love the narration. Pulls so much life into the story! This story is exciting as she goes into the veil after her sweetie. The ending is not what I was expecting but I guess i should have since this author always surprises me (in a good way). I am just glad that the books had audible versions.

The excellence of the series continues.

Harper is giving us so much long awaited information hidden in the ridiculously political fae culture surrounding our mc. Plots going back hundreds of years are verging on being exposed. Tensions are very high. Our mc doesn't miraculously become totally invulnerable. Her own intelligence and resilience have to carry her thru. She does keep accumulating unexpected followers and is less alone. The final entry in the series is next and its been so wonderful, a perfect story with the best narration I've heard, that I'm looking forward to it and dreading it's completion.
