i liked the lightness of the story, even though there were some dark moments the tone in general was fun and breezy, not too serious. I was looking for a fun series to get into though I found the first couple of books a bit tedious these later ones have a bit more action and drama.

What is with the crazy over use of the word 'peer' though? Are they all shortsighted? its so funny, I have to assume their awesome vampire night vision makes it hard for them to see the rest of the time?

As usual the author doesn't disappoint, the story was gripping to the end. It was also well read and I thoroughly enjoyed it
