Summary
Danni Keller is half vampire, half succubus, and a full hot mess.
When Danni was younger she thought being a vampire could be kind of fun. You stay young forever, live in a castle, and play by your own rules.
Then, she was turned into one, and while the eternally young part is true, there's no castle. She's not supposed to talk about her age, she can't tell anyone what she is, and with an overprotective sire like hers, she can't even have a job or go shopping without a babysitter.
Danni knows it's for her own good and all, since bad guys are always trying to kill her, the sun burns like hell, she still can't eat human food without becoming gravely ill, and she's not exactly your run-of-the-mill vampire, but a hybrid with all kinds of extra issues, but still...

I can’t stop listening
Love how the gang can take on anything and how sting dani is and how Ryder loves her so much. These books have so much going for them I can’t wait for this set to take off even more and the gang take on more challenges along the way.

The beginning of a monster
The first was good trashy fun but the cracks start to form in the second. They get worse in the third. But dani and rider start to become more and more unlikable. It becomes pretty frustrating. By about the end of this half way into the third you realise dani and rider have pretty much never been happy together. It screams of an emotionally abusive relationship.

not great
interesting story, funny in places but non existent in the romance department, the main characters argue constantly and every time they start to get close or have a kiss we suddenly skip to an hour later, won't buy the rest of the series
