Summary
It's Maya and Jamie's anniversary, and she waits with excitement for him to return home for a celebratory dinner. There's a knock at the door. It's the police. Jamie has been found hanging in a local wood. His death is ruled a suicide, but Maya doesn't believe Jamie would take his own life. Something isn't right. Someone has broken into her house. Horrifying disturbing and twisty
I’ve been so used to the last few of these freebies on Audibles plus being terrible that it was a real nice surprise to find that this one was far from that.
I normally use these to help me sleep but this one was just too horrifying ! Nicely narrated, great story line and lots of realism to it. The characters were believable including her change from happy go lucky to driven.
I hope she’s written more !

Good story annoying female narration- contains graphic child abuse
Devastating story that makes you want to get to the end to know the outcome. Unfortunately let down by very annoying female narration. The kind of voice that grates on you. Had to fast forward many sections on that basis.

Unexpected
This story took an unexpected turn into something that whilst gripping could be triggering As others have said this book is fairly graphic but quite a read. The outcome was needed for the reader but its very sad that though fictional, this scenario is factual 😞

OK but not for me
Child abuse and child porn not my entertainment. First section quite gripping and end ok but middle too long and repetitive.

Voice about robotic at times,
