Summary

When she washes up with no memory of who she is, the last thing she imagined was that she'd end up living with her rescuer - a famous movie star - and his adorable puppy. But someone out there knows her real identity and the more she remembers of her past, the more her new life, and love, are in danger....

Perfect for fans of Nora Roberts, heart-warming romantic suspense, and dog lovers everywhere!

When no one comes forward to claim her, the now named Jane Smith finds herself suddenly living in a dream house with Logan Steel, the elusive movie star who saved her - but it isn't the fairy tale the world thinks it is. After his last few movies bombed due to his wildly reported bad behavior and messy love life, Logan is having a hell of a time trying to stay at the top. His handlers give him an ultimatum: no more scandal and absolutely no more women. So, the last thing he needs is another one to muddy the waters, but she reminds him of the one person in his life he has loved, and if he doesn’t help Jane, no one else will.

Against his team’s wishes, Logan takes Jane into his home, but from there, things only get messier. In a bid to make him more likable to the public again, his publicist has given him a puppy for all those candid photoshoots she’ll be setting up, but Logan can barely cope with the dog - how on Earth is he supposed to look after Jane too, without getting too close? When an unfortunate incident threatens Logan’s very livelihood, the only way to fix the damage is by contracting Jane as his new girlfriend. In the whirlwind of staged dates and events that follow, despite Jane not knowing who she is, she starts falling for him. But can Logan really love an ordinary woman? And who is the sinister man who haunts her dreams?

Just when it seems they might survive their differences, Jane's past comes crashing into their lives, threatening to kill their happily ever after. Forever.

Entertaining stand alone story

This is a stand alone story with separate characters from the first in the series (there's a brief overlap, but very minor). You don't need to have read the first one to enjoy this one. I rated the story 4 stars instead of 5 because there were some inconsistencies that bothered me (someone referred to as a former fiancé/husband, as well as another husband/ex-husband). I did like the characters and the story and would still recommend it.

Allyson Voller did an excellent job with the narration.

Just a word of caution, there's over an hour (10 audio tracks) of a preview of another book. It's actually the beginning of the book (i.e. cliffhanger), not a prequel novella. If I had known, I would probably have just listened to enough of it to know I'd like it (which I did), but I probably would not have listened to the entire preview.

A love story made for the big screen.

Wow. Jo Ho is such a talented writer what ever categories or genre she is writing in whether it is Sci-Fi, for young adults, crime and thrillers you are in for a treat and now she has branched out into chick lit and romance. Not my normal genre but what a branch it is, I loved it. It is a romance but with everything going on it doesn't feel like that and with the first few lines I was hooked until the end. All the characters are so believable, as is the dog, my shoes can attest to that but she writes like they are real people or animals which makes you care about what happens to them. So you wants to finish the book to see what happens but at he same time you don't want to finish it to quickly. This is book two in the series and even though it is different people and setting, two of the other characters do put in an a appearance, which I thought tied the books together nicely. Looking forward to book three, yes I want to listen to another thrilling romance book.
When a woman washes up on the beach with no memory of how she got there or even who she is, she is found by a playful and mischievous puppy and his bad boy action hero owner. When she is released from hospital without getting her memory back and with no one claiming her Logan offers the use of his guest house. Logan has been raked over the coals lately by the press for his breakup with America's sweetheart and it has even cost him fans, which is why his publicist is trying to get only good press for him, hence the dog chewing puppy and the last thing he needs is a mysterious woman in his life and to be seen with her. But things don't go to plan and the secret gets out and he finds his publicist spins it in a new direction. Can Jane pretend to be his girlfriend until his new film comes out? Can he? Jane's memory starts to come back in bits and pieces and what she does member terrifies her? Does she real need to wake up from this dream to a nightmare?
Allyson Voller is one of the better narrators around and I am so glad she is the preferred narrator for this author because together they make an incredible team. I think I might even have to recommend this book to my mum.

heartwarming

Yes, this series is heartwarming in such a good way. Listening to Until the Sea Runs dry was a great way to pass a lazy day at the park, watching the kids play. The characters are easy to love and the narration was done well.

Heartwarming

This book was a very pleasant surprise as it's not my usual genre and I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. I loved Logan and Jane and, of course, Loki. The storyline grabbed my attention right from the first chapter and held me captive all the way until the very end. It was exciting, sweet and suspenseful. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves romantic suspense. Allyson Voller did a nice job bringing this story to life.
