This is a brother's best friend, roommates to lovers story between 2 broken people who find healing in each other.
I love the dynamic between Aria and Grayson. even though she's his best friend's little sister who he's known since she was a teenager, They have a strong friendship that's a good foundation for their relationship. and they've also got the sahared experience of being parentless. He doesn't treat her like a kid. He respects her opinions and helps her build her confidence. They both have insecurities that show up at different times, and they're always there to raise the other person up when they need it. Their chemistry was off the charts. I loved their journey from friends to lovers. They have such great banter as well. I loved the brother (Noah)'s reaction to finding out about their relationship. It just cemented how close of a family they are, the three of them.
The last 2 hours of the book was so eventuful. i did not see those twist coming and i enjoyed it. it was thrilling and emotional and I was close to tears several times.
I also really enjoyed the narration. I've listened to both narrators before, and they did a great job bringing the characters to life. this was done in dual style and they did a really good job voicing the characters of the opposite gender.
This is a great story if you're looking forsomething that leans towards fanatsy and fairytale (in terms of how realistic it is).
