Summary

I wanted a family with Cash.

We had dreams - building a house, kids, a dog, and, yes, even the white picket fence.

I don’t remember anything about my husband. Not the wedding or the vows we shared. The past 10 years were erased, but with time, they’re supposed to come back.

But what if this isn’t your typical case of amnesia?

What if I’m not supposed to remember?

What if I was meant to forget?

Maybe I don’t want my old life back.

Because if the accident hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have uncovered the truth.

Losing my memory wasn’t tragic.

Losing my memory was fate.

Pulled me in

WOW, what a ride! I went into this book blindly as I love Gia Riley and was completely surprised. Not exactly suspense, but the build up was incredible. Meadow is in a terrible car crash and when she comes to, has no recollection of her life. Her husband Cash is there to help her, and does his best to get her back on track, but something doesn't seem right. And from there we get a story like no other. I can't imagine having no inkling as to who I am, what I like, and who I know, let alone not recognize my husband. Riley portrays Meadow in a way that sometimes I like her and sometimes I am frustrated with her, exactly as she is going through the motions of her life. I love her dreams, and when the new man pops in them, can't wait to see where they will lead. Written from 3 points of view, the story is full of angst, exasperation, suffering, and finally some closure. I was caught up in the story and had to keep listening to find out what really happened, and would Meadow get her memory back. A great addition to the story is Mimi too, though I think I am just soft when it comes to the grandmother type characters. Full of good advice and that warmth we love, Mimi is awesome.

Sarah Puckett recounts this story in such a way that I was drawn in from the start. She had me feeling sorry for Cash, then frustrated and so invested in Meadow's recovery that I couldn't stop listening. She brings it all, full of emotion and voices so clear and passionate, it's like I know these people. She brings out the best in this story and kept me on the edge.

emotional

struggling to put this review into words , I really enjoyed the story and Sarah puckett is a brilliant narrator
it's both such a sad story and an uplifting one all at the same time , I really felt sorry for Meadow, can't imagine how hard it is to forget everything you know, but she knows something isn't right in her life Now and she's on a mission to forget to remember, the series of events that follow really keep you guessing as to what Meadows story is and if she'll manage to work it all out

Twisted, Intriguing a roller coaster of love!

The narrations by Sarah Puckett were great her different characters voices gave so much more strength and feeling to the whole story.. she brought so many emotions to the characters, as well as adding so much more to Meadow character, making her more believable and vulnerable. I really like her work...

Until we are gone was mind-blowing, a roller coaster of emotions and twists that you won't see them come.. what an epic story, Gia take us in a journey thinking the story will be some way but the more we get into it the more we feel like something is about to come but not really knowing when this will happen. making the book super intriguing and enjoyable.

Meadow suffered from a terrible accident leaving her clueless about her life and anything that was happening around. she has been suffering so much, having a constant feeling that something is not right, that something is missing in her life and inside of her.. Very unhappy and feeling very out of place Meadow takes into a very self-destructive journey that not many people are ready for and will not know how to handle or help her before she ends up destroying herself.

Until we are gone take us in an unknown path, making us feel like the story won't have a solution or conclusion, like the main characters are so lost that you really can't see when or how they will finally fix their problems but that's exactly the beauty of Gia's words. the story takes a turn that whatever you thought was about to go down won't happen.

New, characters, new scenarios and things will come out that will change the whole story making you, even more, clueless and hooked to this magnificent roller coaster of emotions.

Overall: the story was very suspenseful, it had the right amount of angst and drama. The characters very enigmatic not showing any hint of what happened or what will happen in the near future.

So emotional

This book was not what I expected I am new to Gia Riley so had no clue of her style. I adored this story it was so well told. It follows meadow who has lost her memory of her husband and her life before an accident. Her Husband Cash is doing his best to help her remember but nothing seems to work. I found the story very emotional and how Meadow talks about wanting to remember but also if she can't wanting Cash to love the person she is now. So many things happen to poor Meadow and when help seems to come things just get more complicated.

I will be listening to the other books by Gia Riley as I really did enjoy this one so much.

Sarah Puckett is one of my favourite female narrators she just brings the story to life and draws you in. Her voice is mesmerizing and she gets the male voices spot on. This is such a great book well worth your time,x

Emotional, suspenseful romance

A very emotional, suspenseful romance! I kept wondering where this story was going especially when she started having certain dreams. I had my ideas but never could quite figure out where it was heading. Very good read! The narrator did a great job! My first read by this author and I look forward to reading more of her books!

Twisty Tiers Trickly Entwined in Romantic Suspense

Until We are Gone is a romantic suspense novel with twisty tiers trickly entwined throughout the narrative. The intriguing synopsis captured my mind & the prologue intrigued my psyche. Told in multiple pov's which fits the narrative & expresses characters complex characteristics as well as their thoughts. However, I found the ending to be unavailing & a bit mediocre.

Narrator Sarah Puckett performance was unmarred as she brought the character's thoughts and sentiments to a realistic level.
Her different characters voices are distinct & easy to diferentiate between & listen to. As always, clear, cut, & concise with smooth tones.

Wow! What a story!

With twists and turns that left me scrambling for the rewind button on a few ocassions, Gia Riley brings us a story that is intense and deeply emotional. From the very start, as we hear Meadow's voice, we are thrown into a richly described situation of confusion and fear. The loss of most of our anchors created by our memories, is horrific in itself, but, for Meadow, there is more loss within this. Cash's decisions reverberate through the story and hearing the story through different perspectives, adds further to this intense mystery. This story of conflict and struggle, depression, addiction, love and pain, is masterfully narrated by Sarah Puckett as she captures and retells the tale with confidence and sensitivity.

Couldn’t stop listening

Until We Are Gone, by Gia Riley really threw me for a loop. I thought I had the story all figured out, Meadow an amnesia victim, her loving husband Cash only wanting what’s best. Her friend Teddie trying to keep an eye so Meadow doesn’t do anything harmful to herself, but keeping a safe distance So as not to alarm. It all made sense, the albums, the many things Cash did, including the eventual hospitalization, so Meadow could finally get the help she so desperately needed.
Till Meadow started dreaming of another not Cash, and the dreams were not ordinary. The premise of the dreams and the meeting of the man on which her dreams are based, then we find how Cash duped her. What a conclusion for a well written story. Thank you Gia Riley and Audio book boom for this book, for a fair and honest review. Also I would like to mention the narrator Sarah Puckett for a job well done.

Twisty, Turny, Edge of the seat ride

Overall, I enjoyed this story. The story kept me questioning and interested, and well written. But for some reason, I wasn't connected with it. The truth kinda surprised me, and I was happy with the outcome. I think my disconnect may have been the narrator. I was told the characters were somewhere in their 30's (though the book doesn't say??) but their voices sounded barely 20, so I had a hard time believing some of the stuff they went through.

Love Listening To This Book

I really loved listening to this book. Sarah Puckett did an amazing job of narrating Until We Are Gone. While listening if you close your eyes it will all play out before your eyes like a movie. This is a emtotional book with a ton of twists and turns. Things that you will never see coming. Meadow is married to Cash. However there is a terrible accident and Meadow wakes up missing ten years of her life. A life that she shared with Cash as her husband and the man sitting beside her, but one she does not remember at all. This is one that you need to just grab, listen to, and not try to figure it out. There is just no way you possibly can. Fantastic Listen I highly recommend.

So Many Emotions

Oh my, where do I start. First, with every book that I have ready of Gia's, my heart strings are always pulled. Sometime in a good way and others not so much. I could not stop listening, I had to know what was going to happen. Even though the story turns and events are not something that I am usually drawn to, Gia's writing was absolutely superb and Sarah's narration was on point. Sarah is definitely a go to narrator for me. I could visual everything that was happening while listening which to me is a must.

I received this audible in exchange for a fair and honest review.
