About this listen

I wanted a family with Cash.

We had dreams - building a house, kids, a dog, and, yes, even the white picket fence.

I don’t remember anything about my husband. Not the wedding or the vows we shared. The past 10 years were erased, but with time, they’re supposed to come back.

But what if this isn’t your typical case of amnesia?

What if I’m not supposed to remember?

What if I was meant to forget?

Maybe I don’t want my old life back.

Because if the accident hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have uncovered the truth.

Losing my memory wasn’t tragic.

Losing my memory was fate.

I was intrigued for the moment I read the blurb, and the book didn't disappoint me, it kept me on edge wondering what was going to happen.

I felt so bad for Meadow, having lost her memory and not being able to remember anything but some things from her childhood, you could feel the desperation, the confused feelings.

And as the book starts to unravel more things start making sense and everything falls into place, and you'll learn that true love will always find a way to be there and will find you even when things doesn't look promising.

The narrattion by Sarah Pukett was perfect she makes you being able to feel all the emotions the characters are going through, her tone and pace for each are really good.

Overall it was a good book a little bit heartwrenching and heartwarming, that you'll need to keep reading to find out what is going on.

Until We are Gone by Gia Riley is full of so many emotions. I went into this listen not knowing what to expect, and I was blown away by the layers of emotions. Meadow definitely had some issues, and I was drawn to her story. Cash intrigued me as the husband forgotten. Mimi was my most favorite character in the story, although she was a minor part. I found this listen to be both heart-wrenching and heartwarming at the same time. Part of the story is cathartic, as it is told from three viewpoints. The performance by Sarah Puckett is amazing. She delivers such realistic emotions. This book deals with the topic of alcohol abuse and recovery, and has some very good points to ponder. I really liked how the author wove the story and its unexpected twists. I requested this book from AudiobookObession and have gladly written this review. I will definitely listen to more by this author and narrator.

Wow!!! Incredible Listen

This book breaks your heart into teeny tiny pieces, and then does it’s best to put you back together. The narration is spot on. Sarah Puckett brings a whole new dimension to this story. I have no words. Meadow and Cash’s story broke me. As difficult to listen to it was, you just couldn’t stop. The author’s writing is so rich and descriptive that it just grabs you. What a heartbreaking ride.

This book made me want to take Xanax. It was very well written and performed with a twist you don't see coming but it drained me emotionally all the way to the finish line. You spend most of the book frustrated at both the H/h but especially the h for being a alcoholic who refuses to get help and change after a horrific accident that makes her lose her memory. You feel almost equally frustrated with her husband for enabling her alcoholism and bad behavior. The h is morose and depressed and spends most of her time intoxicated and refusing to try and recover her memory. You feel sorry for the H and wonder why he doesn't just let her go. But all is not as it seems in this book and there are players in this book who's story adds to the fuller picture of this couple.

I love that this book gives you a good plot twist and the narration was excellent but it is a long depressing road until you get there.. If you like a really angsty book then this one is for you.

Emotionally taxing but good

I loved this listen! I loved the story! Gia Riley is a new Author to me and I will definately be looking out for her again. Such a strong enthralling, compassionate, happy, sad and compelling story. Sarah Puckett is a brilliant narrator, such characterisation and a perfect match for this book!

Highly recommended.
