When a missing person case brings me into contact with the only other supernatural creature I have ever seen, it’s not long before I am ass-deep in trouble.

Well, as audible has taken me down a random path of recommend books, I cast out alittle for something similar but different. I came across this by Higgs. I really enjoyed it. style and humour appealed, I'm eager to read the next.

wasnt expecting that

This book takes place in a city in Germany; when the characters speak out loud, they use German accents including the protagonist, while the first person narration is an american accent. This is an odd and jarring choice but i could roll with it. But if the entire book and all the characters in it are from a foreign country, for the love of whatever, please look up how to properly pronounce the names. (eg Heik-uh, not HeikEeeeeee)

How hard is it to look up German Name pronunciation!?

the narrator was a bad pick for this. the story is ok but the narrator ruined it for me. the only reason I finished was to be able to start book 2 with out botering with this one.

Once immersed in the story of is difficult not to want to hear it all.. Wonderful characters conjure up imaginary scenarios where you become at one with them.
