I loved the narration of Gerald Allison, who bring the characters and wonder plot alive in your ears.

Henry, a reclusive lumberjack, who is struggling against PTSD. Finding peace in his isolation. But soon that is to changed as a video of chopping logs with his pet wolf at his side goes viral. Lucinda, is a driven journalist, who goes looking for Henry hoping to improve her career. The romance between them stumbles, when Lucinda forces Henry to leaves his home to go to New York.
This is an wonderful book. With both characters having depth.

I purchased this book in eBook format a couple of years ago. I enjoyed it, so when I saw that it was available in audio format, I decided to download it, listen to it and see how the narrator, Gerald Allison, brought these two very different characters to life. He did an excellent job with the characters, especially when it came to Henry,

The characters were well-drawn, and their story was easy to follow. It helped that I liked Henry and wanted him to find a way to deal with his demons and PTSD. He does this by living in partial isolation with his rescued pet wolf, uploading videos of their reclusive lives together for his own personal enjoyment. These videos were, he thought, private; he didn't realise that somehow they'd gone viral. But when Lucinda, a reporter, tracked him down and wanted to interview him for an article, he was faced with a difficult decision. To either turn her away and take down the videos if anything can ever be removed once it's out there in cyberspace, or allow the interview to take place.

The chemistry between Henry and Lucinda is palpable and hot, impossible to fight. What will happen if they give in to it? Will his life be changed for the better? Can a woman from the city become a part of his life?

I would never have guessed it would become so dark at the end.

I’m torn with this book. I personally didn’t like the narration, the voice just didn’t seem to fit for me. I felt like a lot happened that could have been elaborated on. It only touched the surface. Saying that it did make me feel incredibly sad at times, I even shed a tear or two. So it definitely did something to generate emotion.

The story was okay. Cute, & predictable. However, it was difficult to hear due to the narration. Bland and boring. This was tough to get through. Use the sample button before buying to gage for yourself.
