Summary
Just as World War II called an earlier generation to greatness, so the climate crisis is calling today's rising youth to action: to create a better future. In Unstoppable, Bill Nye crystallizes and expands the message for which he is best known and beloved. That message is that with a combination of optimism and scientific curiosity, all obstacles become opportunities, and the possibilities of our world become limitless.
With a scientist's thirst for knowledge and an engineer's vision of what can be, Bill Nye sees today's environmental issues not as insurmountable, depressing problems but as chances for our society to rise to the challenge and create a cleaner, healthier, smarter world. We need not accept that transportation consumes half our energy and that two-thirds of the energy you put into your car is immediately thrown away out the tailpipe. We need not accept that dangerous emissions are the price we must pay for a vibrant economy and a comfortable life. Above all, we need not accept that we will leave our children a planet that is dirty, overheated, and depleted of resources. As Bill shares his vision, he debunks some of the most persistent myths and misunderstandings about global warming. When you are done listening, you'll be enlightened and empowered. Chances are you'll be smiling, too, ready to join Bill and change the world.

Best book on Audible
This should be compulsory reading for every person on earth. Such a tough subject made so interesting. Trust Bill Nye to take you on a journey. Been a big fan since the Science guy days. Now an even bigger one!

mein kampf of leftie propaganda
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
the book's facts are along the lines of "We, the chosen ones of the left, the morally superior and benevolent know better than anyone else and our facts tramp anyone else's facts"
ABSOLUTE RUBBISH
Who might you have cast as narrator instead of Bill Nye?
narrator is marginally less annoying that the ideas he tries to flog

Very positive and inspiring
It’s a great book with lots of good ideas, inspiration and advice. My only disappointment is that 8 years on and we’ve taken such little notice and instead headed very much full on and sped up towards the cliff. It’s also highly US centric but I get why and expected it. I just hope the ideas take off soon so it dampens the impact of what we are heading straight towards

Highly engaging, entertaining and positive.
A brilliantly hopeful call for change by looking at the technology that is at hand and how we humans can utilise it for the benefit of us all, and for all life on earth. Bill Nye is a fantastic communicator, taking care to explain complicated ideas in ways most can understand. and his enthusiasm is infectious. It was a joy to listen to him.
