Lots of analogies, not much substance

Gave up about 25 mins in, after it giving me a headache...
there's lots of analogies of you mind compared to a computer if your mind is cluttered it's like having a computer virus... but not any depth of how to deal with issues.

Loved Listening this book

Loved Listening this book, it had a lot of very eye opening points. I was recommended this book by a friend, and I in-turn bought two more for friends. I liked that this book wasn't jam packed with words top to bottom (doesn't take years to read), instead it had a lot of bold statements that open your eyes and make you reflect on your current life. I personally got a lot of information from this book and I like that it was BS free. Thank you.

Best book I've Listen in a while

Best book I've Listen in a while. The advise given here is very powerful and helps me cut through the voice in my head. For the past six months I have been a a hell of a rut. I've struggled with depression and have never felt more mediocre or weak. I've tried to work my way out of it, but it never seems to do any use. The voice in my head continually drags down my spirits and potential. I've only been studying this book for a few days, but it has really helped me cut through this inner voice. If you find yourself thinking your not good enough, have feelings of doubt and inferiority, this book will help you cut through those useless thoughts and assist you in becoming a active participant in your own life!

This book is great

I have met so many people that talk themselves out of success ,happinesss, because they live inside of the head ,and talk themselves out of opportunities. UNFU+K Yourself:Get out of your head and into....is good advice, especially for people who are procrastinators and lazy. I know people who have a lot of potential but they are to lazy to do something for themselves, because they make excuses! You here," Oh, it take to long to go back to school, or " I don't have the money to start a business. or I am to old to do such and such, and the excuses go on and on! I tell them when I here the excuses, to just go and curl up under a rug then, and stop living! Is that being mean? well it is to bad! Listent the book then you will understand why I feel this way.

This book can help push you to be a better you

I bought this book because I was going through a tough time and I wanted to read something to help get me out of the funk I was in. This book is really helpful in explaining why you’re your own worst enemy and how to get out of your head. It really does help make you feel better and gives great advice on how to improve your life by controlling your thoughts. I’d highly recommend this book to anyone who needs help getting through tough times or to anyone who needs motivation to live a more fulfilled life. Even if you’re perfectly ok - this book can help push you to be a better you.

I'm finally awake after 3 year nap

I am realizing just how much I took myself out of the game of life after our youngest daughter passed away about 3 years ago. She was almost 6 years old and I was 33. At 36 years young I felt one and a half decades older than my body. With the help of Gary's words, I realize that I am my hero and, ultimately, this is really good news for me. I was so busy waiting for things to get better that I wasn't in action about living a happy life despite the fact that my youngest is no longer physically in it. Certainly, I will always miss her, but I can experience joy, peace, passion, and excitement as well. I feel compelled to drive forward with a velocity that inspires me. I started singing again (in the car, around the house, even at my office)...I hadn't noticed that it was gone for 3 years until it showed up again. Many thanks for the opportunity this book gives me to take the bull by the horns and to be responsible for my present and future. I am so relieved! Seriously, that sounds so weird. Who would have thought that me being responsible would leave me feeling relief? ha! It's so true though. I feel like I am finally awake after an extended nap. Thanks for the wake up call,

Recommened

I keep hearing his word in all of my circles and I never really knew what it meant. It's like integrity. Do you know what that means? It means you do what you say you are going to do! Period! End of story. If you are not going to do it, then don't say yes or promise you will.
Acceptance is similar. Open your eyes and take a look around you. Like it or not, you created this reality. Stop reeling in pain and misery that this is not how it is supposed to turn out. Let go of your expectations and stare your reality in the face. If you don't like it, you got three choices. You can give up and die (you are a survivor so that probably won't work) You can complain and blame everyone else including yourself and keep on doing what you are doing. Or, you can take action and change. Don't wait till you feel like it. Don't wait for inspiration. Don't wait for someone to come and save you. Remember, you can't even save yourself doing whatever it is that got you here. You gotta take action. Stop listening to the negative self talk. Stop blaming yourself. And stop wondering when things are going to happen. People who get things done, do it despite all of our worst fears and childhoods and parents and obstacles we have all had to overcome. Your feelings and problems and circumstances are not special. You are special. And you are meant to get out there and share yourself with the world. It's not easy, but it is worth it.

This book is exactly what I was looking for.

This book is exactly what I was looking for. As a homemaker and mom of three I had hit a wall in my life. Drinking 4 beers a night with my husband and on the weekends even more. This is the book that I needed to break through that wall and start over. Sometimes we fuck up...and I do it more than I wanted to admit. I have recommended this book to my mom and will gift it to my brother.

Great book

I've listened to a few books recently that deal with the same concepts that this book does, but I really appreciate the honest and real approach. No silly mantras, just a brutally honest self examination of limitations we set for ourselves, and the lies we will tell ourselves to make sure the blame falls on anyone but us. I'll be listening to this one a few more times.

Excellent

I suggest this to anyone who is feels like they are struggling in life. -- Also I've read complaints about his Scottish accent, I disagree, I think his accent adds a nice touch. Plus any book read by the author puts weight to the words, in my opinion. If you need a pick up in life, this is a great book.

I quickly related to everything that she said. I felt like I finally found someone who understands me! I’m not the horrible person I had believed I was. I didn’t know how to manage my stuff! I'm impressed!

everything is easier said than done

everything is easier said than done... I recommend the audio-book so you can maybe do a repeat of the book... since it's short... but I know that you will get motivated after listen ... that's why you read it in the first place... so his voice needs to stay clear on your mind.
But a good read, all the methods work, they have worked for millennia... We know what we need... we just need the discipline to apply it. this book makes great points on why and how to develop discipline...

EXCELLENT!

I’m still at the 1st Visibility Station, but I’ve finished the Easy Trash and Duh-Clutter, without anxiety or coming to a dead halt – that’s two significant steps for me. Now I’m gearing up to answer the 2 Declutter Questions and then pray I can tackle the Container Concept. I want to prefer that for everyone. EXCELLENT!
