About this listen

The thrilling apocalyptic horror series in one complete box set!

From bestselling author of Dead Meat, a terrifying, epic and action-packed story about the carnage unleashed when a strange object in the sky turns people into blind, raging monsters.

It’s an ordinary Monday.

Until everything changes forever.

At 2:44 PM, a mysterious crack appears in the sky.

Anyone unfortunate enough to look up is immediately struck blind. What’s worse, their mind is wiped clean, replaced with a vicious urge to kill anyone within reach.

Mark is at work when it happens. Fighting not to fall asleep, the boring department meeting suddenly turns into a bloodbath when people are drawn to the windows to look up at the sky.

Down at the street, Gina just finished shopping and now finds herself thrown into a scene from a horror movie, as everyone around her begins beating each other to death.

Stopping at a red light, Tommy's stepdad leans forward to gaze upwards. Without warning, Tommy is trapped inside the car with a mindless monster intent on killing him.

Now, these ordinary people must stand together in the fight for mankind, or die along with it. As the crack grows bigger, more and more people succumb to the rage. Societies collapse and the world is plunged into mayhem.

And there seems to be no cure. No safe haven. Not even an explanation.

Only blind rage.

Filled with action and suspense from the start, this dark, gripping tale of the apocalypse is driven by compelling characters placed in impossible situations.

A supernatural survival thriller perfect for fans of Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Jeremy Bates, Iain Rob Wright and Jeremy Robinson. If you enjoyed The Stand, Cell, Bird Box and The Dark, then Under the Breaking Sky is a great match for you.

Well where to start although I’m ill in bed this has been a long slug even taking it into hospital to get through this. I don’t really think it was my kind of book or books and I probably did it until we get chunk doing them all together, but it did die and dragged at the end storyline got a bit confusing at times for me but I did have about a delirium partway through I had to go back and start a big bit again

In the end it probably wasn’t the best in the genre for me obviously a lot of people have really enjoyed it and things have personal taste you could get into some of the characters but I can’t get into others. I just wish luck for the next big series keep up the good work bye for now.

First time I have listened to books like this. I loved every minute of it. Engaged with all the characters, cried when they died, shouted at them to be careful loved it all. Narrator was excellent and will certainly look for more books from this author thankyou

Amazing

This has got to to be the best audiobook I have listened too , not one boring part.

Fantastic!!!

The story is engaging.. different take on an apocalyptic world. It’s weird that it’s set in Denmark but being narrated in such a strong American accent. Felt a bit jarring and didn’t help with the believability of the story. I quickly found the narration extremely OTT .. the voices of the characters not too bad but the bits in between … no! No one needs to narrate ‘spaghetti bolognaise’ with that much emphasis and disgust! A particular eye rolling moment!
It didn’t help that the author goes into minute detail at the beginning, with all the engagement of the ‘zombies’ and it felt arduous to listen at times.
‘He moved his arm there, she moved her leg there’ type of thing.
That seemed to get a bit easier as the story went along but still I feel that sometimes parts of the story were explained to death and other parts not explained or covered at all.
The ending, maybe the last paragraph, is lame.. absolutely no explanation as to how it all started other than brief references involving one particular character during the story. The authors note, then says you can sign up to his newsletter to access a prequel. I’d lost interest at this point, particularly as it was narrated in the same OTT style and not by the author.
Having said all that, I gave it 4 * as it was an engaging story. Perhaps I would have enjoyed it better if I’d read the book myself though

Interesting concept

I couldn’t stop listening to this book. I loved the series and the narrator is one of the best I’ve heard.
