Everything that Skylah has been through in the past has only made her stronger and more determined to stand up for herself and her brother. Starting at a new school was supposed to be a new beginning however she has attracted the wrath of Slade, a popular basketball player, and the battle is on.

Slade has his reasons for ensuring that Skylah’s stay at Aston Creek is only temporary and he will do whatever is necessary to ensure that happens. Or at least that was the plan until Skylah proves to be his equal in every way.

The banter between them is entertaining and the chemistry between them is undeniable. You can only admire how Skylah has overcome her past and I loved how protective her and her brother Blake were of each other. Stephanie Kay was a great choice for the character as she had you connecting with the character and what she was going through. 🎧 Pink Flamingo Productions

Sheridan Anne continues to wow me with a fantastic start to another amazing series. Her books should come with a warning to “Be prepared to have your mind-blown”, because she is the master creator of mind-blowing stories and you can always expect the unexpected. This is a well written and brilliantly plotted story that grabs your attention and captivates it the entire time, it is hard to put down because you need to know what happens next. Skylah left a terrible home situation and took her brother Blake to go stay with their aunt. It is difficult being the new girl in a new school, but she was not expecting all the hate coming her way thanks to Slade Cruz who had it in for her the moment she stepped on school grounds. But Slade does not know who is dealing with, Sky had been thru enough in her short life, some may even say she has been to hell and back so Slade has another thing coming if he thinks she will bow down to him or his followers. There are a lot of layers to the story and there is plenty of drama, angst, mystery, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Sheridan Anne, thank you for this great story and start to another amazing series, I am looking forward to what happens next in Ashton Creek High.

🎧 📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Stefanie Kay is a mega talented narrator and a versatile voice artist who does an amazing job covering the roles for all the characters, giving each their own distinct sound, making it easy to follow along and tell how is who. She has a complete understanding of the characters she portrays, sounding believable in every role she plays. Her Skylar is absolute perfection, grasping every side of her personality from her strengths to her vulnerabilities. She nails it as Slade and is great at performing the roles of all the secondary characters too. Stefanie Kay sets the perfect tone for the story, captures all the character’s emotions and projects them into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to, her narration enhances this already brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

This book is a bit darker the trauma section than the bully section that happens in some of Sheridans books, but like so many others I couldn’t stop listening!! I love the MC and her strength and I can’t wait to hear what happens next!

Sheridan does not disappoint! This story started off swinging and the hits just never stopped coming.
Skyla is determined to never be the meek submissive girl she was before, & that just doesn’t work for the school alpha Slade.
But when there paths collide, you can bet there will be flames!
This was so intense & full of emotion. It’s full of empowerment & strength. I loved this angst filled story and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
