Summary

Lost. Stolen. Forgotten...until the Alphabits step in.

A Team A.L.P.H.A. spinoff series.

Patton Ryder has always taken pride in the differences between him and his twin brother, Ozzy. But now that Ozzy is mated and has a growing family, Patton is starting to realize that maybe being completely different isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Axel Wilson is extremely protective of his former street crew, a bunch of child thieves who are under the care of his mentor, Saul Hagin. But Saul is dead, and Saul’s mate Ira has dollar signs where his heart should be. Not knowing what else to do, Axel makes a call for help, not realizing that his problem is going to land smack dab in front of the Alphabits, and drop him right on top of his true mate’s lap.

Just because they’re mates doesn’t mean Patton trusts the former thief, but the more they dig into the case and Axel’s past, the more he realizes that Axel has a giant heart full of love that has never been returned the way it ought to. But that gentle heart might be forever scarred if they can’t rescue the kids from Ira’s cold machinations soon enough.

The Alphabits aren’t vigilantes. These former soldiers and officers of the law have to do things by the book - even when it tears them apart to do so. But once all their ducks are in a row, the bad guys had better beware! You do not want this team of protective alphas on your tail.

This is the fifth in the Alphabits series, and should be read in order for maximum enjoyment. You can expect to find naughty, knotty scenes of steamy passion, along with a lot of potty-mouth language and some violence. Be ready for a go-go dancing snow leopard, the rolliest and polliest of hedgehogs, and the first appearance of a vortex in the Team ALPHA world. HEA definitely included, intended for 18+ readers only. Seriously, would you expect anything less from Susi Hawke and Crista Crown?

The other twin and his pretty kitty?

John Solo is one of my favourite narrators and he continues to do an excellent job of bringing the team to life. This time it's Patton's turn...the other twin, as Ozzy has already settled down with his mate and their family. The team is given a tip by a guy who used to be a street kid and thief about his former crew who are being preyed upon by a guy who doesn't look after them the way his dead partner used to. Fiona and Patton head over to investigate and Patton meets his mate. The rest is a fun, action-packed adventure as the three with the support of the team do their best to find the kids before the bad guy lands them all in big trouble. I love this series and highly recommended for a fun action-adventure Shifter with MPreg MM romance.

I love Pattycakes and Axel is his perfect match!

🌟🌟🌟🌟 4.5 stars 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Heat Level: 4 🎧🎧🎧🎧 Narration: 4.5 I love Pattycakes and Axel is his perfect match! Another great adventure for one of the Alphabits team members to find their fated mate. I love Patton and Ozzy and their rambunctiousness and the mischief these twins would get up to. Patton's mate would need to be able to hold his own and Axel totally does! With an unfortunate rocky start to their mating, Axel and Patton's trust takes a little while to build but once it does they are well matched and their passion for each other grows from lust to love. I love that Axel doesn't believe or know about fated mates and that makes this one a little more special. Add in a few adorable kids that are just ready to be loved and this is a great story of fated mates and found families. I loved it!! Thanks for reading!

Loving this Series! Solo is Perfect

Twisted (Alphabits #5) I love a toppy omega, and this episode of Susi Hawke and Crista Crown’s Alphabits series has the toppiest. It was great to finally see Patton get his true mate, and the way he rolls over for Axel is perfect. Twisted is the fifth book in this wonderful series, and while you could definitely enjoy them as standalones, the relationships between the characters are more fun when you do this one in order. The perfect choice as the narrator for this series, John Solo’s performances have been marvelous. He captures the dynamics of the relationships so beautifully, keeps the dramatic moments as intense as the authors have written them, and brings the humor to keep the whole thing rolling along. This is a fantastic theme for a series and the authors are doing an amazing job with this one.

Great addition to the series!

Twisted is book 5 in the Alphabits series, which focuses on shifter children related cases and needs to be read in order. I wasn't all that sure I was going to like Patton at first, the way he treated Axel wasn't all that great. I guess it's a good thing Axel wasn't your typical Omega and he ended up being more Dominant—spoiler alert: the capital letter at the start of this word is not a typo and while it's not hardcore BDSM, there are spankings in this book ;)—than I imagined. Anyway, Patton showed he wasn't that bad with how he treated Maddy, who was an adorable hedgehog shifter, and how sweet and romantic he could be with Axel. Axel was pretty kickass and I loved that he stood his ground with Patton and how he cared about the kids in Ira's gang of petty thieves. I was a bit disappointed that Ira didn't suffer a bit more (or a lot, if STAHP had gotten him in their claws), but other than that the book was entertaining and emotional and John Solo did an amazing job bringing Patton, Axel and the rest of the Alphabits team, their mates and the kids they rescued in this book to life.

Time for Patt...

After his twin brother was mated, Patton can’t help but think of himself and his future. When a new case drops onto his lap and the Alphabits engage in the mission, his life will forever change. Alex’s past is on the way to their happiness. Alex is such a great guy, special abilities and all. They are hot together and even with the initial distrust, their bond is strong. I really like this couple :-)

Better and better

This series just keeps getting better. I don’t think when it was started that the plan was to keep almost all the rescues they made, but it works out perfectly for these Alphas. You just had to know that as soon as Patten met his mate he’d be the perfect pussy cat(pun intended) Axel is the Dommiest (it’s a real word, I just made up!) Omega out there. There’s all the snark and humour you expect and a few tears moments that sneak up on you. Loved it. John Solo is the voice of the Alphabits, I can’t imagine any other voice now.

Veribtable follow up to Chained

Yet again Susi and Crista have come up trumps. It was a fantastic follow up to Chained. I fell in love with Axel and his deep affinity to Maddie. He needed Patten as much as Maddie needed Axel. I was so glad that all the kids got their happy ending. I still need to catch up on 1, 2 and 3 but can't wait to listen to Cy's story. Bring it on ladies.

Love this series

I was so happy that Patton found his mate sooner rather then later in this series. Axel broke my heart. Having everything you own fit into a backpack was too much for me. I loved that he cared so much for the kids & made the sacrifice to contact the Alphabits (copers) to try and save them from Ira who was a nasty POS. I wished he would have been snagged by STAHP & turned into minced meat. The rules he made up for the street kids was just wrong! The story is not only the mating of Axel & Patton but the investigation in finding the kids and once finding them, finding good homes for them. I'm glad that Maddie stayed with them and became part of their family. I don't recall them ever saying "I love you" to each other. I may be wrong but I just don't remember it. I would love seeing more of the MC's in this series in their shifted forms running & playing. Audio ARC provided by LesCourt Services in exchange for an honest review.

Oh Pattycakes

I love this series, I've really enjoyed getting more of the dynamics between the twins in this one, plus it brought it back into the group story, making it more of one continuous story, which is my favorite kind of series as well as bringing some ALPHA team favorites back. Solo's narration has been consistent and great throughout the series and he keeps up the good work with this one, Overall a great listen.

Patton finds his mate but that's just the start

Patton does not expect to meet his mate with a knife at his throat but that is what happens when he meets with Axel to discuss the children that Axel was worried about. As these two fumble, so many fumbles, you will find humor and moments that cause you to shake your head at their antics. Throw in the kids, family, and the Alphabits, you end up with another winning book that simply makes you happy. I cannot wait for more!

Patton & Axel

A great addition to the series. They may be fated mates but it's definitely difficult for Patton and Axel to trust one another enough to give in to fate. Axel is a former thief and that's not easy for Patton. It was great watching Patton slowly discover what a great heart Axel has and that he really is a good person. I really enjoyed watching these two get their HEA. The narrator did a great job with this one. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audiobook.

Learning to trust

Patton Ryder meets his true mate Axel Wilson when he is assigned to work on a case Axel has called to ask the team's help with. Despite Patton's initial mistrust of his mate -- given Axel's former 'profession' -- and Axel's inexperience, the two bond. Surprisingly, there's a kinky twist that is delightful because it is so unexpected between an alpha and his omega, but also because the writers are careful to keep it light, not letting it get in the way of or overwhelm the story of their romance. The story is less about finding the kids and punishing their handler Ira, a Fagin-like character, than it is about how Axel and Patton grow to feel for each other, and how they not only rescue but also stand by and help the kids find forever homes with caring people, including some members of the Alphabits and Alpha team crew. The narration is fine, nicely evoking the sense of family that develops as the story progresses.

Patton & Axel's Sweet Story

Axel is the former memeber of a street crew of child thieves. After a greedier, less compassionate adult takes over the street crew, Axel calls the Alphabits help line. The last thing he expects to find is his true mate. Patton doesn't trust Axel initially just because they are mates, but the more they look into the street crew, the more he realizes how sweet Axel really is. This book is one of my absolute favorites with this series! Patton never was one my top Alphabits, but seeing him get his HEA with Axel, and these two men getting the family they want and deserve was so sweet. I love all the extra characters you have in this book as well, with the Alphabits, the street gang, the bar group and of course Team ALPHA, there is a lot of personality and fun in this book (and of course the heat). John Solo did another outstanding performance with this book! The voices were unique and easy to follow along with, making the book fun to listen to! Great overall read, and wonderful continuation of the series! I truly can't wait for the last two books of the series!

Another great Alphabits story!

Oh, how I love this Alphabits series! I loved this book. Patton, the alpha wolf who’s the twin brother of last story’s one, is a fun and protective one, and Axel, the omega snow leopard with a Dom streak to him, grew up on the streets and is a tough cookie… In this book the team gets to work on rescuing the kids on Axel’s former crew from the streets, and this all with all the Susi Hawke and Crista Crown good feelings! John Solo's narration is the usual extra addition to a good story, and it’s so expressive that you can't help but love listening to it!
