Summary

Lost. Stolen. Forgotten...until the Alphabits step in.

A Team A.L.P.H.A. spinoff series.

Patton Ryder has always taken pride in the differences between him and his twin brother, Ozzy. But now that Ozzy is mated and has a growing family, Patton is starting to realize that maybe being completely different isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

Axel Wilson is extremely protective of his former street crew, a bunch of child thieves who are under the care of his mentor, Saul Hagin. But Saul is dead, and Saul’s mate Ira has dollar signs where his heart should be. Not knowing what else to do, Axel makes a call for help, not realizing that his problem is going to land smack dab in front of the Alphabits, and drop him right on top of his true mate’s lap.

Just because they’re mates doesn’t mean Patton trusts the former thief, but the more they dig into the case and Axel’s past, the more he realizes that Axel has a giant heart full of love that has never been returned the way it ought to. But that gentle heart might be forever scarred if they can’t rescue the kids from Ira’s cold machinations soon enough.

The Alphabits aren’t vigilantes. These former soldiers and officers of the law have to do things by the book - even when it tears them apart to do so. But once all their ducks are in a row, the bad guys had better beware! You do not want this team of protective alphas on your tail.

This is the fifth in the Alphabits series, and should be read in order for maximum enjoyment. You can expect to find naughty, knotty scenes of steamy passion, along with a lot of potty-mouth language and some violence. Be ready for a go-go dancing snow leopard, the rolliest and polliest of hedgehogs, and the first appearance of a vortex in the Team ALPHA world. HEA definitely included, intended for 18+ readers only. Seriously, would you expect anything less from Susi Hawke and Crista Crown?

Great addition to the series!

Twisted is book 5 in the Alphabits series, which focuses on shifter children related cases and needs to be read in order.

I wasn't all that sure I was going to like Patton at first, the way he treated Axel wasn't all that great. I guess it's a good thing Axel wasn't your typical Omega and he ended up being more Dominant—spoiler alert: the capital letter at the start of this word is not a typo and while it's not hardcore BDSM, there are spankings in this book ;)—than I imagined. Anyway, Patton showed he wasn't that bad with how he treated Maddy, who was an adorable hedgehog shifter, and how sweet and romantic he could be with Axel. Axel was pretty kickass and I loved that he stood his ground with Patton and how he cared about the kids in Ira's gang of petty thieves.

I was a bit disappointed that Ira didn't suffer a bit more (or a lot, if STAHP had gotten him in their claws), but other than that the book was entertaining and emotional and John Solo did an amazing job bringing Patton, Axel and the rest of the Alphabits team, their mates and the kids they rescued in this book to life.

Veribtable follow up to Chained

Yet again Susi and Crista have come up trumps.
It was a fantastic follow up to Chained.
I fell in love with Axel and his deep affinity to Maddie. He needed Patten as much as Maddie needed Axel.
I was so glad that all the kids got their happy ending.
I still need to catch up on 1, 2 and 3 but can't wait to listen to Cy's story.
Bring it on ladies.

I love Pattycakes and Axel is his perfect match!

I love Pattycakes and Axel is his perfect match!

Another great adventure for one of the Alphabits team members to find their fated mate. I love Patton and Ozzy and their rambunctiousness and the mischief these twins would get up to. Patton's mate would need to be able to hold his own and Axel totally does! With an unfortunate rocky start to their mating, Axel and Patton's trust takes a little while to build but once it does they are well matched and their passion for each other grows from lust to love. I love that Axel doesn't believe or know about fated mates and that makes this one a little more special. Add in a few adorable kids that are just ready to be loved and this is a great story of fated mates and found families. I loved it!!

Thanks for reading!

Another fantastic Alphabits story!

This is another fantastic Alphabits story! I love the camaraderie of the team and their partners. I really enjoyed the slight twist with Patton's mate taking control in a special physical way. (No spoilers.) It was fun to see the powerful man cede control that way. And when his brother walked in on them...hilarious! Good story that worked out well for all the kids, too. Happy endings all around. It was great to see the new guy start to fit in, even though he is a cat shifter, and - yeah - there is a little bit of good natured hazing that goes on.

Great narration! Pretty easy to tell the various characters apart.

I received a complimentary copy of this audiobook from the author and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Better and better

This series just keeps getting better. I don’t think when it was started that the plan was to keep almost all the rescues they made, but it works out perfectly for these Alphas. You just had to know that as soon as Patten met his mate he’d be the perfect pussy cat(pun intended) Axel is the Dommiest (it’s a real word, I just made up!) Omega out there. There’s all the snark and humour you expect and a few tears moments that sneak up on you. Loved it. John Solo is the voice of the Alphabits, I can’t imagine any other voice now.

Time for Patt...

After his twin brother was mated, Patton can’t help but think of himself and his future. When a new case drops onto his lap and the Alphabits engage in the mission, his life will forever change. Alex’s past is on the way to their happiness. Alex is such a great guy, special abilities and all. They are hot together and even with the initial distrust, their bond is strong.
I really like this couple :-)

The other twin and his pretty kitty?

John Solo is one of my favourite narrators and he continues to do an excellent job of bringing the team to life. This time it's Patton's turn...the other twin, as Ozzy has already settled down with his mate and their family.
The team is given a tip by a guy who used to be a street kid and thief about his former crew who are being preyed upon by a guy who doesn't look after them the way his dead partner used to. Fiona and Patton head over to investigate and Patton meets his mate. The rest is a fun, action-packed adventure as the three with the support of the team do their best to find the kids before the bad guy lands them all in big trouble. I love this series and highly recommended for a fun action-adventure Shifter with MPreg MM romance.

Stolen Hearts

The next book of Alphabits and Patton meets his mate Axel when investigating a child thief ring.
The book is as great as the others in the series, but I actually preferred listening to John Solo for this book. I can’t wait to find out how he does with Cy’s book.
