Summary

One last twin swap. What could go wrong?

Twenty-six-year-old Dani’s identical twin sister calls her out of the blue with a colossal problem. Sophie needs to jet off to Mexico to save her friend from a botched tummy tuck, but her boss won’t let her take any PTO. Dani, eager to repair their strained relationship, leaves her glamorous LA life behind as a top social media influencer to save the day. Dani’s dang good at pretending to be her sister, but is she good enough to teach high school kids in rural Oklahoma?

When Sophie gets stuck in Mexico for an entire month, Dani not only has to teach economics and life skills, but she has to direct the school musical. And that boss Sophie hates so much? Yeah, it turns out Principal Beck is entirely too good looking and single for Dani to ignore.

Rushed high school musicals, fiery school board politics, and cozying up to Sophie's boss, definitely weren't on her sister's pre-approved syllabus, but Dani never was one for sticking to the plan.

Nice rom-com, but not my brand of clean

"One last twin swap. What could go wrong?" Apparently everything, lol. I liked this story and enjoyed getting to know Dani and her back story with Sophie (since she agreed to do the swap because she wanted to mend their sisterly relationship). It was also fun getting to see the life of an influencer and what goes behind the scenes. The chapters being titled with hashtags were perfect and made it fun; and it was also great that the twin swap wasn't one-sided, but rather, at times, Sophie had to also help Dani out. The chemistry between Dani and Foster was off the charts, but while I had been enjoying their story, it was a huge turn off for me when their relationship started getting physical since it felt that was the only basis for it (keyword "felt" since they do talk and get to know each other, but it wasn't shown so much). Honestly, after that point, I kinda had to force myself to finish the story, though it did pick up with the performance nights and her using her influencer powers for good.

The narrator did a great job with all the voices, and I especially appreciated being able to tell the twins apart when they were talking with each other. The rest of the characters were played well (from Beck's smooth one, to the elderly ones as well as the teenagers).

Overall, a nice rom-com story, perfect for people looking for a Sweet Romance (as opposed to a Clean(&W) one) with a mix of Cali and Okla/small-town lifestyles. ~ 3.5 stars

Content:
Language: several d**n and s**t
Sex: it's never on-screen/graphic, but it definitely happens. There's innuendo, references to past encounters (she spends a day "having loads of amazing sex"), as well as allusions to certain body parts (her showing cleavage, his body responding to their passionate kisses, etc).

Twinfluence

omg all I have to say is Loved It!!! makes me kinda wish I had a twin, yeah maybe not because I'm kinda crazy, I don't think my family could handle 2 of me. lmao 🤣 , I kinda wonder if there are really twins that actually do, do the switch around. this story was so cute and I'm glad this made her think about what she really wanted to do in her life. yeah it missed up her sisters career a bit but hey she made up for it. lol I was a little sad that she lost the guy. I was hoping for them . but HAY it all worked out at the end. they got what they need. All I have to say now is you guys have to read this book it's funny, it has those little bad ass kids, let's just say this is a really cute and interesting rom-com. you won't be disappointed and the narrator did a really good job too.

funny story

This is a funny, cute rom-com about twin sisters who decide to switch places just for a day or two. Of course it ends up being longer than that, throw in a hot guy, drama in town and you get lost in the comedy.
I listened to the audiobook and absolutely loved it.

A fun story. PG-13 for sure.

This is a fun twin-swap story. I actually found that I was quite drawn in by the plot and the development of the romance. The premise was a little far-fetched, but this is escapism reading (or rather, listening). It was a great twist on enemies to love and mistaken identity plots. There was lots of romantic tension. Based on where I discovered the audiobook, I expected it to be a clean story, which is my personal preference. It was definitely not sex-free, but the action was kept behind closed doors...no graphic descriptions...so I could stick with it to finish the story. Some language. It won't fit the bill for listeners who want a totally clean read. The ending tied things up in a nice bow for me. The narration was good and easy to listen to. If you like romance and don't mind some language and a little bedroom action without description, then you'll likely enjoy this book.

Too much language

I was under the impression that this was going to be "clean," but there's was far too much swearing and references to sex for it to be considered clean. It was a cute idea for the story, but could've done without all that stuff.

Twin swap gone bad

The twin swap theme was very fun. I wasn’t quite sure why Dany wouldn’t just go to Mexico instead of pretending g to be her sister and teaching a bunch of high schoolers. But it made for a fun book with some awkward situations. And Beck was just adorable. He ran a little hot and cold but his behavior was justified. Dannie posing as Sophie got herself in a few tight spots. I really liked the book. But beware that this book talks about hooking up and hooking up takes place in the book. There is no bedroom scenes.

Good story, nice narration

I’m a big fan of the Parent Trap movies with the twin swap trope and this book fit in perfectly. It was really fun, at times dramatic, others nerve wrecking. I enjoyed it.

Beck initially appeared to be a stick in the mud and very strict. Over time his true personally became evident and was hard to resist. Dani just wanted to help her sister and repair their damaged relationship, but her methods were misguided at best. Together they formed quite a team and are really good for one another.

Not squeaky clean, but there is no on page sex, a few bad words.

The performance was spot on. The narrator did a wonderful job. It was a good listen.

Twinscapades

You would expect that in a story about twin’s swapping places, the responsible twin would be sucked into the other twin’s drama. But in this case, the swap initiated by the unexpected twin. It might not be that bad if they were still kids, but swapping is much harder as adults leading different lives in far-apart towns pursuing different careers. Especially when the swap was only supposed to last a couple of days and due to circumstances beyond their control lasted more than a month. There are a lot of mistakes that can be made in 30 days. And Dani seems to find most of them. But is it really her fault?

I found this to be an entertaining story with a positive ending. And it was fascinating to see how each of the storylines were worked out.

cute

these are both new to me authors and narator. I thought the book was clean, but it wasn't exactly. there was closed door sex which I hate, but I know some people have strong feelings about sex in books. that made me assume it was clean, but then there were like 3 swears in it. nothing horrible or vulgar, but it caught me off guard since I assumed it was totally clean. my opinion, if you're going to do closed door sex, then don't have any swearing either. not that I'm offended in the least, but again, there are people the only read clean. I thought the overall story was cute. I did have to slow her down a little from what I normally listen to, but that's nothing in the scheme of thing
