Earns 5/5 Tasty Troubles...Light Entertainment!

Truffles, Tirades and Trouble Stephanie Quinn uses her voice talents to go beyond a traditional reading. She does well to portray Melody through a first-person narrative, then changes tone and dialect to fit the personalities, emotions, and gender of the other characters. As a female narrator she did satisfactory with male voices. Although short (a bit one hour) and light entertainment, it is very enjoyable.

A well-written story from a very good author

Truffles, Tirades, and Trouble (Melody Clue), My fiftieth short read/listen from prolific author Meredith Potts, Well-written & enjoyable. another cute, clean cozy mystery. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. I was impressed and enjoyed the vocal variety & inflections of narrator Stephanie Quinn. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

continuation without notice that it was

This audiobook continues from where Pretzels, Problems and Peril left off, but it never tells you that this is the case. This book opens with Amy behind bars for murder. Melody Clue doesn't think she is guilty so she finds the women on her suspect list and interviews them. She tricks the perpetrator into revealing themselves. I just don't understand why there is nothing that links this book the previous book. At first, I thought I was listening to the same book again with a different title. I think that even with an audiobook there should be some indication of where a book falls if it is part of a series. The books are more like episodes because Pretzels, Problems and Peril didn't really resolve the story. Truffles, Tirades and Trouble is needed to get to the end of the mystery.

I Really Love This New Series

I really really enjoyed this part of the story. The first 10 minutes were part of the previous story, but that was my only content issue. I love the shorter mysteries, and they go together really well without particularly leaving a cliffhanger. I just can't get over the narrator, though. She does a good job of Melody's voice, but the secondary characters just grate on my nerves. Honestly, I truly think she could be awesome but she tries too hard!
