About this listen
Strange things are happening in Prosper Woods, California. Ever since moving here a few months ago, my life has turned upside down. Some things have been amazing, like falling head over heels for Vincent Lasco, a gorgeous 700-year-old vampire. Other things have been weirder than I could ever imagine.
I’ve learned a fundamental truth about myself. Needless to say, it came as a massive shock. Of course, most of the town residents have quirks of their own. Let’s just say, nothing is boring about this bizarre place.
Supernaturals flourish here!
Falling for Sheriff Romeo Harmon wasn’t something I expected when I relocated to a quiet town in the sequoias. He makes me happier than I’ve ever been. He’s kind and funny and honest to the core, just the kind of man I used to be, centuries ago.
I have a new lease on my very long life. Things could go on just the way they are, but there’s something I’ve been asked to do before that happens. I need to help Romeo find a sweet little boy and finally lay him to rest.
Who knew ghosts could have broken hearts?
Vincent and Sheriff Romeo are my chance to find peace, at last. I’ve been waiting for someone to notice I’m gone for a long time. Until the vampire showed up, I wasn’t sure anyone could help. All I want to do is move on to the next step...and I really need to rest.
Vincent and Romeo, you’re my only hope.

True Blue needs to be read (or listened to) in order, so you definitely need to read True Knight and True Mate first or you'll be very lost.
This book features several POV's, Romeo, Vincent, Greg, Sam, and one of the bad guys, Sergio. I've never been a fan of having that many points of view in books and I didn't particularly care for it here. Sergio's chapters were especially jarring and some things that happened in them really detracted from the story.
I'm still really liking Romeo and Vincent, especially now that they're living together. They have fantastic chemistry and have settled nicely with one another.
I'm on the fence about Greg and Sam. I liked the idea of them before, but I don't know, I wasn't feeling it all that much in this installment.
While some things addressed in the previous books were resolved, not all were by the end of this book. The book was entertaining, just maybe not as good as True Mate. My favorite parts are still the Letters to the Editor with which each chapter start, they're hilarious!
John Solo did a great job with the narration and while this wasn't my favorite book in the series, it was still enjoyable.
Good narration!

Now, Romeo has his own problems as the Sheriff of Prosper Woods. People keep turning up dead. Werewolves are reorganizing themselves. Greg the bartender and Sam his best friend both have their heads up their asses. So what’s a lawman to do? Help search for the resting place of a ghost, of course.
This book brings together the cast of characters I’ve come to expect and a few new ones as well. At the heart of the story is a tragedy that tore at my heart. But I had faith Romeo and Vincent would figure it out in the end – even if that meant enduring and surviving an epic battle in the meantime. Bunny shifters, anyone?
Finally, I had thought this was the final book in the series but a major bombshell was dropped right at the end, leaving open the possibility for more adventures. Can’t wait.
I’ve mentioned John Solo’s narration and it deserves another kudos. Just a great job with such a wide variety of voices. Well done.
My heart broke for Blue
