Really liking these characters

I think I've listened to some of this series out of order but I'm now really beginning to "feel" the characters and their lives. I like to listen to these whilst I'm knitting. The stories are well narrated and interesting enough to keep me piqued but not so many twists and turns that I get my knitting wrong too!

Hours of fun!

Finally mystery anthology that will keep you laughing and guessing! First we have Christmas Gingerbread Cookies with a Side of Murder. This quick holiday murder mystery had me at the title. Cozies are so much fun to listen to and Meredith Potts always delivers good stories. Sabrina was looking forward to a nice quiet Christmas. David was investigating an ad for a hitman, and when he went to question the wife, he had found her dead in her house. It would not be Treasure Cove without a murder to investigate, especially around the holiday! Sabrina is depressed, but pulls herself up along with some detective work from their daughter Jessica. Will this family find the killer before Christmas? Next up is Cheesecake Bars With a Side of Murder. Sabrina Carlson has been helping her husband David solve murders for years. Now when a good friend of theirs is found dead at his office, they are off to find his killer. But what they find out is a surprise and makes them evaluate their life. This book is not only fun in it's story, seeing the quirky townsfolk, but it is a little more serious for Sabrina and David. Looking back on this series, they have been through so much and the twist that happens near the end, I can see and empathize with their plight. It's good to see Jessica and I am hoping this isn't the end! I love these two! They make me think and smile with the antics of Sabrina and seriousness of David. It's such a fun series.Last up, we have Raspberry Chiffon with a Side of Murder. Things are never the same when you go home after moving away. Sabrina finds this out firsthand when she ventures back to Treasure Cove to visit her daughter Jessica. The one thing that does stay the same is there seems to always be a murder to solve! Will Sabrina help the new junior detective, Jessica find the guilty party? Talk about fun! It’s a blast seeing the town through Sabrina’s eyes and having her help with the case is just icing on the cake.. or shipped cream on the raspberry chiffon! This is one of my favorites, maybe because I feel like I have grown up with Sabrina or that raspberry is my favorite, but I really enjoyed this one. Quick, quirky and delicious, Stephanie Quinn continues her narrating keeping it fun and fresh.

Like book sets

The story is set in Treasure Cove where Sabrina, who runs a coffe shop is married to, I don' t remember hearing his name although she may have mentioned it, a detective. Somehow, sometime, she starts helping her husband in his detective arena. Her husband ends up in a bad situation and the couple ends up making some life changes. There appeared to be repetition in these stories., not necessarily in the storyline, but with other aspects such as dialogue. The narative tone for Sabrina I found to be quite irritating as her personality was read very whiny, made it hard to listen to, especially in the first two audiobooks. I do appreciate the fact that this set was a free read, which, obviously, has no influence on my review.

Comfortable cozy

Trouble in Treasure Cove 3-Book Set I always love simple cozies that don't require a PhD on forensics or law, so these fit the bill as relief from reality. This set covers the transition from Dad the police detective, to retirement, to daughter trying for the detective position. Each book is stand alone, but the series is addictive! Narrator Stephanie Quinn stays as perky as ever!

Good Story & Narration

Christmas, Gingerbread Cookies with a side of Murder Double plan murder, the husband plans, and then the killer. Good story and good narration by Stephanie Quinn. Cheesecake Bars.with a side of Murder Residents of Treasure Cove seemed to be having a hard right now., especially when a business man died of a heart attack. Sabrina doesn’t go alone with that, thinks foul play, and can she prove it was murder. Then Sabrina and David talk about retirement. Good narration these are 2 of the three all the author’s are good.Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
