I thought the author’s previous book was good. Well, this one is even better.

I hadn’t seen that much chemistry between two characters in a long time. You feel that Sly and Spencer don’t really like each other at first, but that they experience an irresistible attraction to each other. And the whole book is the story of how they learn to like each other. Seduction, support, understanding, protectiveness… They’ll need to go through all of that–and a couple traumatizing experiences–before they admit their feelings.

There’s been some suspense in This much is true and Twist of fate, but this book takes it to a new level. There’s a real threat at the center of the story right from the beginning, and it’s the catalyst they need to push their relationship further, bit by bit. I felt that the author didn’t really know how to deal with it in the end though.

I loved Spencer as a character. Controlled, cold at the beginning, it was delightful to see how much he’s changed by the end of the story. There’s a lot of passion inside him, that only Joselyn is capable of igniting. And is it ignited! The sexy times will make you fan yourself.

Just know that it is an intense book: intense drama, intense conversations, intense emotions, intense sex. And intense Spencer.

The audiobook was great! Both narrators were perfectly cast, and I loved their child voice. The strong emotions of the story were there. Really one of the best out there!

This is my first audiobook and book by Tia Louise. It is narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Kirsten Leigh who do an excellent job. The narration was smooth and consistent and very enjoyable. This story is a little grumpy sunshine, with some definite Beauty and the Beast inspiration. I struggled a bit with this story, \there was a lot going on, but it didn't feel like enough time was devoted to some things while too much time was devoted to others. I also found it a bit predictable. I think I may have gone in with high expectations because I have heard such great things about Tia Louise but this one fell a little flat. It was a solid story with great narration.

This was my first audiobook by Tia Louise. Jocelyn & Spencer were hot from the get go! Their chemistry was off the charts. Oh so hot! Spencer swore he didn't want to settle down. Jocelyn proved him wrong! Excellent narration by Teddy Hamilton & Kirsten Leigh (also new to me!)

First off, I just love Tia Louise. Every book is original and entertaining, and I know I am in for a treat when I turn on the audio. This one is especially good for me, as I love the underlying suspense theme it has! Jocelyn has something to prove to herself. And who better to show her she is desirable than billionaire hottie, Spencer? He has made it clear, he is a one night only man. But when he gets a taste of "Sin", will he be satisfied? This push pull romance is so much fun. Enemies to lovers, these two have witty banter and spice. Jocelyn is a caring, loyal person and she does what she has to to keep her heart safe and try to win Mr. Freeze's heart. Spencer, the protective alpha, shows his true colors throughout, and it gives us those little peeks into his soul where warmth and love are stored. Louise masterfully weaves a thread of suspense into this story that is relevant to current issues and brings realism as well as strength and love. Add in Charmaine the tree frog, and we even have some humor! If you enjoy fantastic, standalone stories, this is a must listen!

Teddy Hamilton and Kirsten Leigh tells us this story with all the feels. Hamilton's voice is smooth and caring. I love his easy going feel, making Spencer feel like I know him. Leigh brings Jocelyn to life with an air of hesitancy, yet you can the feelings are at the edge, so we know exactly what is going on in her heart. These two were wonderful!
