About this listen

The best-selling guide for coping with changes in life and work, named one of the 50 all-time best books in self-help and personal development
Whether you choose it or it is thrust upon you, change brings both opportunities and turmoil. Since Transitions was first published, this supportive guide has helped hundreds of thousands of readers cope with these issues by providing an elegantly simple yet profoundly insightful roadmap of the transition process. With the understanding born of both personal and professional experience, William Bridges takes readers step by step through the three stages of any transition: The Ending, The Neutral Zone, and, eventually, The New Beginning. Bridges explains how each stage can be understood and embraced, leading to meaningful and productive movement into a hopeful future. With a new introduction highlighting how the advice in the book continues to apply and is perhaps even more relevant today, and a new chapter devoted to change in the workplace, Transitions will remain the essential guide for coping with the one constant in life: change.

This is the best book I've read on the subject of change that has transformed my perspective. A must read and share with others who are ready to listen. Absolutely Brilliant

The way the book is written unfortunately had me wander off at times. I even saw asleep from it. Still, the messages inside are invaluable. I will need the written version in order to distill and avoid the repetitions. The voice of the narrator was not helpful either. It is a lie. It is a life-changing book just a little off.

Very powerful messages...

This book explains so much. Key points to help us through the chosen and the unavoidable external changes we go through and the parallel internal transitions that we experience.

I was recommended this book by a friend who is a Psychologist, I’m currently going through a major transition and this book didn’t help. I found it painfully dull and had to skip ahead, although I didn’t find much value in it I am aware that many thousands have which leaves me scratching my head. Possibly an insightful read for those who are new to self-help.

Nothing new or of interest here.
