Summary

In the next Mitch Rapp thriller, a cyber-terrorist plot pulls the plug on US power, plunging the entire country into darkness and chaos.

Mitch Rapp captures ISIS’s top technology expert, who reveals that he was due to meet a man who insists he can take down the entire US power grid. But Rapp’s operation to seize this man fails when his target evades the trap and then ISIS operatives help the man do what he said he would - plunge the whole of America into darkness. With no understanding of how this unprecedented act was accomplished, the task of getting the power back on could take months. Perhaps even years.

Rapp and his team embark on a desperate effort to find the man responsible so that they can interrogate him about the extent of the damage and how to repair it. But the operating environment is like nothing they’ve experienced before - computers and communications networks are down, fuel can no longer be pumped from gas stations, water and sanitation systems are on the brink of collapse and America’s supply of food is running out.

Can Rapp get the lights back on before America collapses into starvation and chaos?

Apocalyptic tale of society's descent into chaos

Mitch saves the day again, although not in his usual bloodthirsty way, more of a post apocalypse survival story, well narrated and thoroughly enjoyable as always.

Brilliant from start to finish Narrator is amazing

I loved this book so much, thank you Kyle Mills for keeping the Vince Flynn legacy alive !!! Amazing narrated by the super talented George Guidall. This is the 19th book in the series, if you have not listened to the others I suggest you do :)

Another cracker

This is a good one. Great concept , not too messy or sprawling. Not my favourite narrator though.

Lazy

What a terrible Mitch rapp book, lacks detail within the story, description and storyline severely lacking.
There seems to be large parts of the story that are expected but not there or maybe it’s just fragmented but no real flow
Real shame

Not the best

In the past I have loved the Mitch Rapp series, but this one just lacks the usual action and I found myself bored at times of the story, the Orphan X and the greyman series is so much better, Rapp books have lost the intensity over the last couple of novels,

A Welcome Addition to the Rapp Legacy

Very good but would have been even better if there was an additional chapter or two. The end was a bit rushed with a lot taking place 'off camera'.

Seriously disappointed.

This is by far the weakest Mitch Rapp novel. Up until now I thought Kyle Mills was doing a good job filling in but this is just so weak, I’m afraid I didn’t enjoy this book at all and I have lived every single other book.

Excellent narration as always but this is sub par

Reader is poor

I’m sorry to say this but the reader seems short of breath half of the time and I found it too distracting to listen to the book. He also pauses in the wrong places. I couldn’t really tell if the plot of the actual story was any good because I found the reader performance too distracting.
