About this listen

Octavia Royal, the nation's princess.

More like, Octavia Royal, my life is a big hot mess.

My father’s death has me back in my hometown, and nothing is as I remember.

Echoes Cove Prep is a place where dreams go to die. Where everyone wants to be a mean girl, no matter what they sacrifice, and the three boys who were once my saviors run the place. Only now they’re my worst nightmare.

There’s something sinister writhing beneath the surface of Echoes Cove. Tangled up in the web of deadly secrets, a wicked game of survival, these people are about to learn...the venom that runs through this town runs through my veins, too….

And I’m not going anywhere.

I loved this book so much! This exceptional cast of narrators brings depth and richness to the characters. I enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the next installment.

Octavia Royal is the daughter of Rock and Roll loyalty, but the life of music on the road has left her sheltered and worldly at the same time. When her father passes away suddenly, the will stipulates a return to her hometown of Echoes Cove and graduating from the elite prep school with top grades.

Four boys and former friends are not happy about this arrangement. Lincoln, Maverick, and Finley are the undeniable kings of the school, and they make Octavia their target. East is Lincoln’s brother and now a teacher at their school.

What Octavia doesn’t realize is that there are even bigger things afoot, more dangerous and twisted than the boys who were once her biggest allies and now her enemies. What is undeniable is the bonds between them are strong, and so are their attractions. And despite everything, they are all inexplicably drawn together.

This is a great listen that flew by. I cannot wait to begin the next book!

Octavia moves back to Echoes Cove after the death of her father, rock god Stone Royal. The boys who were her best friends when she grew up with all seem to hate her, and everywhere she turns, she is met with rage and cruelty.
Octavia is fearless. She holds her own against people who have wronged her.

Overall, this story is very intriguing and suspenseful. There are so many secrets and it keeps you on your toes trying to make sense of them.

This does leave off on a cliffhanger. Looking forward to book 2.

What a wonderful team of narrators! It takes the story to a whole new level! They did a fabulous job narrating this book in duet style narration.

Wow, this angsty, enemies-to-lovers bully romance is one heck of a mind-blowing ride and a great start to “The Knights of Echoes Cove” series. Octavia Royal was happy with her life and touring with her rock star father but after his death her life is forever changed and she has to go back to live in Echoes Cove, the place where she grew up. Except no one wanted her there, not even her own relatives, but all she needs to do was finish school with a 4.0 grade average to receive her trust fund and she can leave the place behind. One year, that is all but her fellow students and childhood friends, Lincoln, Maverick, and Finley, are making her life a living hell. The only one from her past civil to her is East, she also makes a friend, Indi, who helps her get thru it all. This is my first book written by Lily Wildhart, I am enjoying her writing style and she does an amazing job keeping you on your toes, making you wonder what is really going on in Echoes Cove. This first book lays down the foundation for what is coming and it is going to be something big and bad, since they are supposedly trying to protect her from it. This is a cleverly plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions and the start of a slow to medium burn romance. Lily Wildhart, thank you for this great story and the wild emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧 📚🎧 And for the amazing narration and lineup of talent, Heather Firth, Blake Lockheart, David Black, Gideon Frost and Gregory Salinas are delivering an outstanding performance as they bring these characters and their story to life. Their portrayal of the characters is spot on and I love how they take each role, run with it and make it their own. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the characters’ emotions and project them into their performance, having you feel every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to, their narration enhances the story to another level. Thank you for this exceptional listen.

“The game is rigged when you don’t know your playing.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Let’s start off with a quick rundown. Octavia has moved back to her home town, Echoes Cove after her rockstar father unalived himself. (There is a lot of mystery around her parents and her past I’m intrigued about). When she arrives back at her old school things have changed, and not for the better. 😬

Her once best friends, Lincoln, Maverick, Easton and Finley (boys and who later become part of her harem) all hate her. They bully her throughout the story, leaving Octavia and the reader guessing as to why they’re attitude has changed toward they’re once best friend since she left. The bullying is BRUTAL. So if you are not a fan of that trope, I don’t recommend this to you 🩵

It is reverse harem, meaning she will end up with multiple love interests and she doesn’t have to choose between them. There is a little jealously there, but not between her love interests, more of an outsider 👀

I actually devoured this in three days, never once leaving me bored or left thinking ‘is it over yet?’ 🩷

The plot isn’t as heavy as I would have liked it to be, but I have a feeling that’s all going to change in book 2. Octavia has a stalker and I think that is going to become more prominent in the next book, which I’m looking forward to exploring further! There is definitely something dark and twisted happening inside Echoes Cove, something so much more sinister than what the town seems to look like on the surface.

I definitely recommend this book if you want to become totally immersed in a fictional world, and for a romance(s) that will leave you wanting more. More spice, (I can feel it brewing 🔥) more action, more nail biting drama and definitely more jaw dropping secrets! That plot twist was brutal 😫😭

Immersive ✨

I have to say the title of this book is aptly named. Octavia is forced back to her hometown following the tragic suicide of her father to live out the terms of his will. There are people who want her gone and will do a thing to see that happen. Octavia really never has a moment of peace in this book the thing she goes through would break a person but she is tough. The guys who want her gone are were once her best friends East,Lincoln, Maverick, and Finn. These guys are trying to protect her from something sinister in Echo’s Cove that has the guys on edge. With Indy her best friend Octavia survives but we are left to wonder what is the big picture with the evil in this town. Looking forward to see what happens in book two and getting to know the guys better and the friendship they once had with Octavia and why her dad supposedly died.
