Suspense, gritty, heart breaking, passionate.. can't wait to read/listen to the other 2 instalments

Well this was an interesting one. We have Sarah who is tortured by her husband's killer (technically he wasn't at the time.. hence him torturing her to get his whereabouts) who eventually falls for her in an obsessive, twisted infatuated way. They develop a bizarre relationship with their sexual chemistry tipping off the scale. Sarah is mainly in denial and doesn't want to admit her feelings for Peter whose behaviour is possessive and domineering. The cat and mouse chase they have with passionate sex in between when she's not running and he's not chasing is palpable. I can't believe there are two more books in this.. I've been told to read the twist me trilogy first so I'll switch to that. I have to admit intially in this series I found it odd that a woman would sleep, eat and generally hang out with her husband's killer. But as the story progresses you realise that not everything was as it seems with her husband.. would that lead me to sleep with his killer? Probably not, but then if the chemistry is as electric as theirs then you never know!!

Amazing

I have read most of Anna Zaires books and then listened to them... I was a bit nervous that Peter wouldn't have a Russian accent because Julia didn't have one in Capture Me (ALSO AMAZING) and Julian didn't have a latin accent in Twist Me (ALSO AMAZING)... but Sebastian York did an excellent job with the narration and accent, it really kept my full attention for the entire 35 hrs 34 min in the two bundle series. Worth the credits! I would start at the beginning if this is your first Anna Zaires 1) Twist Me 2) Capture me, 3) Tormented Obsession, and finally 4) Forever Destined.... These are dark adult themed descriptive story lines, if you can handle that, you won't regret it

Amazingly Dark Series!

For a better understanding, you should read/listen the Twist Me Trilogy and the Capture Me Trilogy before this one.

This is the first boxed set in the Tormentor Mine Series, a dark romance. The book 1 (Tormentor Mine), and book 2 (Obsession Mine) are included in this set. Peter and Sara's story is suspenseful, captivating, intriguing and fast-paced. Peter is an intriguing character, dark, possessive, and dominant. His past is heartbreaking. Sara is a beautiful and strong character. Each story ended with a cliffhanger. Sebastian York and Tracy Marks did an outstanding job with the narration. Now, I can't wait for the next boxed set in this amazing Series.

The interconnected Series reading order:
I love Julian, Lucas, and Peter's stories!
1) The Twist Me Trilogy (Julian and Nora's story)
2) The Capture Me Trilogy (Lucas and Yulia's story)
3) The Tormentor Mine Series (Peter and Sara's story)

Story was entertaining but...narration needs attention

I enjoyed both of these stories but in order to listen, had to adjust all sections read by Tracy Mark’s. Her reading was too fast as if it was speeded up during post production. Sebastian York sounded normal and I know his voice and tone from other listens. I kept his speed at normal but slowed her read down to .8 in order to tolerate her reading style. That made it easier to listen to but meant I was constantly changing the speed throughout the reading. It made the story less pleasant to listen to.

Sebastian York is the perfect choice for Peter.

I love Sebastian York's performance of Peter. His deep voice and accent is phenomenal.
I enjoyed listening to this a second time. I'm looking forward to the finale of the story.
Tracy Marks did a good job.

Ruthless and unstoppable, Hell bent on revenge Peter began killing off every member of the team that destroyed his life. 5 years later Peter breaks into Saras house to get her husbands location out of her... but during his interrogation of her something happens, Sara under the drugs reveals not only his location, but the fact she was separated from her husband, that she never really knew him and suspected he was lying to her.. she also reveals her suppressed sexuality and loneliness.. Awesome

I loved this book couldn't put it down. With the FBI closing in on him Peter kidnaps Sara with the help of his team and they fly to his hidding place, even after Sara begged Peter not to take her away from her parents, patients and her friends. Peter treats Sara like a princess giving her everything, but also taking what he wants from her, and she even starts thinking that he wants to get her pregnant which scares her. Peter and his team do jobs here and there, but when there's a job that requires all of his team to be there he asks an old teammate and his wife to look after Sara. When Sara is left with the couple, Sara tries to get the womans to help her escape, but when Sara gets the chance to escape she winds up in the hospital and the man is afraid that he and his wife might now be put in Peter's list. When Peter is looking through his emails he sees one that will help him and his team retire forever, but when he reads who the target is he starts to think that if he plays his cards right he could give Sara what she wants.

Oh so good....

I thoroughly enjoyed these first two books of Peter’s story. I thought Anna did a fantastic job with Sara’s inner turmoil. I had really hoped Sara and Yulia would talk about what Yulia and Lukas went through to help Sara understand she isn’t the only one who has gone through a similar circumstance and I hope she and Nora somehow meet in the next two books. Her escape attempts became a bit cumbersome and her months of captivity seemed to drag. I’m excited to begin the next two books to see how their story unfolds and if my predictions are correct. I haven’t been able to stop listening to Julian, Lukas and Peter’s stories. I find myself liking the dark romances Anna writes. Narration was perfect.

Peter & Sara

Audible Escapes review. Dual POV. Great story, terrible narration.

This is the first book narrated by Tracy Marks I've borrowed, her robotic tones and weird pace completely ruin this as an audio book. Not worth purchasing, sorry. JP

The story gets a 5 star

The female narrator ruins the story with her breathy voice. It sounds false because it’s only when she pauses after a word or phrase it’s there. Very annoying
