Summary

Gabriel "Gabe" Lewis retired from the NFL and returned home to Cherry Springs. He combined his passion for football with camping and is now the owner of a football camp for teens. His summers are dedicated to spending time with family and teaching his campers about the sport he loves.

Zoey Zahn is a quirky, introverted writer and self-proclaimed geek. When she's asked if she'll accompany her nephew, Christopher, to camp, Zoey agrees, envisioning quiet evenings of writing in the great outdoors. After she stumbles upon Gabe, however, quiet evenings alone are the last thing on her mind.

The chemistry between Gabe and Zoey is undeniable, but as camp ends, a brewing storm causes their blooming relationship to fumble. All Gabe knows is that Zoey is too tempting to deny, and he's determined to overcome the obstacles between them to be the man she deserves.

Too Tempting is the first in an all-new small town romance series by Bethany Lopez. Follow the Lewis cousins of Cherry Springs, the kind of place where there are festivals for every occasion and everyone knows your business, as they learn about love and loss.

A good start to a new series.

This is the first work by Bethany Lopez that I've 'read' but it won't be the last. I'll certainly be looking for the rest of this series. A quick, read that was, at times, laugh out loud funny and at others, made you stop and wonder! I'd say superbly done considering the shorter word count. Bravo Bethany!

Never too Tempting

I loved this listen. Bethany Lopez did not disappoint with a great story about family and love. Gabe as an ex NFL star has a group camp for kids and the week before he always spends getting the camp ready with his family. Zoey ends up there on the wrong week and they offer to host her since she can afford to stay for an extra week and hopes to get some writing done. Gabe and Zoey are interesting and have great chemistry. I love the family dynamics and the whole story. Melissa Moran is a new to me narrator and was not dissapointed. I am looking forward to reading and listening to many more from Bethany Lopez and Melissa Moran.

Great series!!

I listened to book 4 first without realizing this was a series, and loved it despite being out of order, so just knew I needed to catch up with the first 3 books... This book did not disappoint!! I love Bethany Lopez' writing style and Melissa Moran did a great job narrating, making both the female and male voices believable. I loved the story of Gabe and Zoey. Their contrasting personalities made it even more enjoyable. I love the closeness of the Lewis cousins. It makes me want the series to keep coming so I can listen and find out how each of their lives turns out!! I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great Book!

This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

Good story with major surprise!

OK, so… hmm… I’m going to be vague here, if you want spoilers. Go to Goodreads, there’s a ton there that lay out the storyline. There’s a big secret in this story. It’s a shocker. Some may be irked by it. I wasn’t bothered since I’ve seen the situation Bethany Lopez gives us here. It’s… odd but weirder things happen. So anyways, with the big secret out of the way… I loved Gabe, like completely smitten with that man. Any NFL player that can start a summer camp for teens and to teach them his love, his passion… well, it’s admirable. I didn’t stand a chance with his caring ways. I also really like Zoey. She was really relatable for me. She’s super introverted. But these two have some major chemistry happening between them. Melissa Moran was fabulous! She’s always such a delight to listen too. Moran brings life to the characters and the storyline. I love the feel of it when someone is really vibrant in a story. She was great at portraying Zoey who’s a bit aloft and a bit shy at first. Then there’s Gabe who’s very manly and outgoing.

Good Quick Listen

Gabe, a retired NFL player, and Zoe, a famous YA author, meet when Zoe accidentally shows up one week early to volunteer at the summer camp her nephew is attending. Gabe extends an invitation for her to stay and help get things in order for when the campers arrive. Both are keeping their identities a secret, having been taken advantage of in the past. Sparks fly and they quickly fall in love, on the last day of camp when Zoe's sister Chloe arrives to pick up her son, huge secrets are revealed. I enjoyed this book, it was quick and sweet. I listened to the audio and the narrator did a great job, I didn't have any issues following the story or which character was speaking. I was annoyed with Gabe when he reunited with Zoe after the seven weeks they spent apart when she left camp, and he expected all to be forgiven. She needed to time to process what had been revealed (I'm not going to post a spoiler, there are plenty of reviews with those) and seven weeks is a short period of time. In the end I was glad she was able to move on from that and see all the positives that could actually bring to their relationship. Over all I would recommend this book if you're looking for a quick, sweet, steamy read.
