Summary

How exactly has one good deed landed me in the penalty box?

Ice Knights defenseman Zach Blackburn has come down with the flu, and my BFF - his PR manager - begs me to put my nursing degree to use and get him back to health. Of course she would call in a favor for the most hated man in Harbor City.

But when he’s finally on the mend and I’m sneaking out of his place, everything goes sideways. Paparazzi spot me and pictures, plus accusations that I slept with him, fly faster than a hockey puck.

At first, all of Harbor City wants my blood - or to give me a girlie-girl makeover. But then…the team finally wins a game. And now this fickle town wants me with the big jerk twenty-four seven.

Argh. I never slept with him the first time! But no one will listen. Then the grumpy bastard goes and promises to break his no-fan-appearances rule to help raise money for a free health clinic - but only if I’m rink-side at every game. That’s not a deal I can turn down.

But when the team keeps winning, and I realize there’s more to him than his bad reputation, suddenly remembering to keep my real hands off my fake date gets harder and harder to do.

Another fabulous addition to this series

It's Fallon Hartigan's turn to find love despite the "in your face " personality she displays. So when she meets Zack Blackburn the tough and grouchy ice hockey player then sparks begin to fly. This is a well written storyline with lots of humour and great characters from previous books in the series. Heartily recommended and deserves the top rating given. The two narrators did an amazing job of bringing all the characters to life ~ WELL DONE

Just what I needed...

I want to say that this is my favorite book in the series, but I enjoyed it so much that I want to go back and read Butterface and Muffin Top just to make sure (and also because they're pretty awesome books too). I'm so stoked to read Parental Guidance and get more Ice Knights delightfulness! I also hope we get more from the Hartigan clan because I sort of love them. I loved how fierce and unapologetically self Fallon is - she knows her strengths and weaknesses and embraces them. I also love how vulnerable Zach is - he's just a big old softy in a hard shell. I think that my favorite part of Tomboy though, is that we get enough drama for the plot to move at a good pace, but minimal angst (I had enough of that in the last 7 books I read - your girl was in need of a break). This was just a fun, sexy (perhaps even sexier than the first two books?), lighthearted gem of a story and a great intro to a new series that I'm SUPER excited for! 4.5 out of 5 wine glasses.

Fun, steamy romance novel

I recommend this series and author. (I'm required to write at least 15 words to review this book so here they are.)

This was the best of the three Hartigan series!

Fallon was so much fun and Zack was great. Their relationship was not typical but the passion was palpable.

MORE PLEASE! :)

I’m so sad that this is the last book in the series! :( I’m so in love with the Hartigans and their significant others! Avery Flynn is absolutely AMAZING! She is definitely my favorite writer in this genre! I LOVE LOVE LOVE her writing style! The characters and their stories she blesses us with are so relatable and real! I LOVE that! I fall in love with each and every one of them! And the steaminess, oh YUM! ;)

It’s the second best out of the series

Overall, this one’s storyline was second best in this three book series. However, when it comes to laminating the female leads physical attributes, this one was probably the best. The other two books just over did it with reminding the reader that the female lead was either little on the chubby or ugly side. This one did not over do it and thank god for it. Therefore, without those reminders every 5 minutes, I wasn’t thrown off the storyline while we were in the middle of connecting to the situation that was currently being described. Lastly, I have to admit I mostly read these books to listen to Brian Pallino’s sexy voice but this one did not disappoint me.

Love The Hartigan’s and the Ice Knights!

I read these series out of order because I didn’t know when Instarted that The Hartigan’s came before the Ice Knights... this was the 6th book I read, even though chronologically it’s the third.

Having read the other 5 books about Fallon’s family the Hartigan’s, and Zack’s team the Ice Knights, I was very familiar with all of the characters. I’m sad this is the last one and hope someday that Avery Flynn will write another book or series to take us back!

This book is about Fallon, a nurse, being begged to go over to take care of Zack when he is suddenly sick. He’s a difficult guy, known as one of the worst people in town, but she eventually breaks through his tough exterior. She becomes his good luck charm as he actually turns things around and starts winning games after their encounters! They start calling her “LadyLuck.” Can he convince her to stick around as his good luck so he can keep up his winning streak, and will he soften up and actually fall for the tomboyish girl?

As with the rest of the two series, this is an amazing book, so well written that I don’t want to stop listening. I also love the two narrators for these characters!

I LOVED THIS SERIES!!!

I'm so glad I finally got to this series. It was fun, with lots of laughs and it was sexy hot, with lots of heated moments. I loved that the characters were not the perfect girl that most write about. These girls were normal girls that we all have in our everyday life (or possibly are ourselves). Thanks for writing about real woman Avery Flynn!
