Summary
Heiligabend, New York City. Mitten im morgendlichen Berufsverkehr irrt ein etwa fünfjähriges Mädchen auf den Straßen herum. Bevor es von einem unachtsamen Autofahrer überrollt wird, holt Special Agent Jeremiah Cotton es von der Straße. Kurze Zeit später. Cotton erhält den Anruf einer renommierten Anwältin. Sie unterbreitet ihm ein Angebot, das er nicht ablehnen sollte.
