Summary

Using Paul's radical letter to the Philippians as his road map, Matt Chandler forsakes the trendy to invite listeners into authentic Christian maturity. The short book of Philippians is one of the most quoted in the Bible, yet Paul wrote it not for the popular sound bites, but to paint a picture of a mature Christian faith. While many give their lives to Jesus, few then go on to live a life of truly vibrant faith. In this disruptively inspiring audiobook, Chandler offers tangible ways to develop a faith of pursuing, chasing, knowing, and loving Jesus. Because if we clean up our lives but don't get Jesus, we've lost! So let the goal be Him. To Live is Christ, To Die is Gain - this is the message of the letter. Therefore, our lives should be lived to Him, through Him, for Him, with Him, about Him - everything should be about Jesus.

The Essence of Christianity

To live like what is described through Paul's experiences in rejoicing, humility and maturity as a true follower of Christ, is I could conclude from this book. I found God speaking in all of circumstances I've been facing up, when enemies attack from many directions, I found that my home is where God is. He is ALL I need, so I have EVERYTHING. All praise to God who is good and ALWAYS good!! ❤️🙏📖

An Encouraging Listen!

A great look at the book of Philippians. The church of Philippi was a people changed by God and they had strong relationships. Matt emphasizes maturing in Christ along with other themes. Interesting angle. He points out many verses that are misapplied and backs up why. We tend to take verses out of context for what we want, and don't truly know what it means. I encourage you to listen to this book as you go through the book of Philippians.

Excellent Audio Book

Matt Chandler does an excellent job of explaining that we should take choose joy our Christian Life. He is clear that Joy is not a situation but it's a choice empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Exceptional

This is an amazing look at Philippians. I am thankful that I was challenged to teach a Sunday school class, and felt led to teach Philippians. The insight in this book has been very helpful.
