Barney Willow thinks life couldn't get any worse. He's weedy, with sticky-out ears. Horrible Gavin Needle loves tormenting him. And worst of all, Dad has been missing for almost a year, and there's no sign of him ever coming home. Barney just wants to escape, and find another life. Being a cat, for example. A quiet, lazy cat. Things would be so much easier - right?©2012 Matt Haig (P)2012 W F Howes Ltd Animals Animals & Nature Kurgu Literature & Fiction Kediler Komik İyi Hissettiren

I read this after reading The Humans by the same author (I love Matt Haig) and although it is very much a children's story, it still has the same quirky humour and pathos of The Humans. Haig's writing is so tender, funny and engrossing. A really lovely little story.

A children's story, but immensely enjoyable by all

A boy wishes he were a cat and has his wish granted. Except... It's not as fun when no-one know he's a cat and his head teacher is out to get him. Fun story, altho I hate when cats are mean/bad in books 😂 also then the main character/cat was about to drown in the river I almost couldn't keep listening 😖💔
Anyways, sweet book! Would recommend!

It was a very good story, I loves it but some of the animal facts were wrong. e.g the main character gave his dog some chocolate but dog are actually allergic to chocolate! I still loved it though.❤
