Story
In need of work and a change of scenery, Aussie expat Jayden Turner agrees to a short-term chef position at a bed-and-breakfast over the Christmas holidays. What he finds is a grand old house in a beautiful town, and his new boss is gorgeous, gay, and single. After his divorce, Carter “Cass” Campion bought his great-aunt’s run-down country manor in his hometown, and he’s determined to get it ready for the busy holiday period. Story
Malachi Keogh finds himself in a job he neither wanted nor asked for when his father, boss of Sydney’s postal service, sends him to the end of the business line, a.k.a. the Dead Letter Office. Malachi expects it to be tedious and boring, but instead discovers a warehouse with a quirky bunch of misfit co-workers, including a stoic and nerdy boss, Julian Pollard. Where Julian is calm and ordered, Malachi is chaos personified, but despite their outward differences, there’s an immediate chemistry between them that sends Malachi’s head - and heart - into a spin.

Resigned to living a sexless, loveless life, Doctor Nathan Tierney knows something is missing. In a rash decision, he leaves his life-consuming job at Mass General Hospital, Boston, to be the small-town doctor in Belfast, Maine. With the job comes a house, and with the house comes a handyman-painter. Story
Arlo Wright’s introduction to his sexuality came when he saw his older brother’s best friend, Jack Cooper, in his sweaty football kit. Unfortunately, he didn’t have long to enjoy the revelation because he promptly knocked himself out on a table. Relations between them have never really moved on from that auspicious beginning. Arlo is still clumsy, and Jack is still as handsome and unobtainable as ever. However, things look like they’re starting to change when Arlo finds himself sharing a room with Jack while on holiday in Amsterdam at Christmas.

The job at Sunday Orchard was supposed to be temporary. A chance to gain some work experience, to have some fun. I had not expected to be welcomed into a family of gorgeous and weirdly efficient lumberjack-types, or to find purpose in the tiny Vermont town whose claim to fame seemed to be apple-based products and copious amounts of charm. And I most definitely hadn’t expected to fall for Knox Sunday, my grumpy, burly, fifteen-years-older, reluctant roommate, with his infuriating lectures, his hot-as-fire body, his superior attitude - I’ve never been one to put down roots.

A nice boy gets naughty...Redheaded freshman Jeremy "Cherry" Rourke is certainly living up to his childhood nickname, although still being inexperienced is the least of his concerns. After coming out, his parents barely talk to him. He hasn't made any friends at university. Worst of all, he's about to spend Christmas completely alone in an empty dorm. Jeremy clearly needs a fairy godfather, so football captain Max Pimenta takes him under his wing to help him find his dating groove. But Jeremy's wound way too tight. He's too vulnerable. Though I was born with the ability to see the dead, I struggled with it until my brother was killed and his ghost was left behind. Now, I’m determined to figure out who is responsible for his death…the problem is that Detective Maddox Booker, the one working the case, is a grumpy and stubborn man who wants nothing to do with me and definitely doesn’t believe in ghosts. It doesn’t help that I keep finding myself looking ridiculous in front of the detective, thanks to interfering ghosts who enjoy laughing at my expense.

Summary
Hamish Kenneally is moving from Australia to the US for a fresh start, beginning with Christmas at his sister’s place in Idaho. When a snowstorm diverts his plane to Montana and leaves him stranded two days before Christmas, he hires a car and drives right into a blizzard.
Ren Brooks has always called Hartbridge, Montana, and his family hardware store, home. After a few failed attempts at love, he’s resigned to being single forever - after all, no guy wants to stay in his sleepy little town for long. And after his dad’s passing earlier in the year, Ren’s Christmas is looking bleak. But when a car runs off the road in front of his property, Ren pulls the driver out and takes him home to get out of the cold.
With the storm and the holidays leaving Hamish with nowhere else to go, Ren kindly offers a place to stay. Hamish is certain he’s crashed right into a Hallmark Christmas movie, despite more car delays and road closures and the prospect of not seeing his sister for Christmas. And with help from Hamish, Ren is beginning to feel a little Christmas cheer.
These two unlikely strangers have more in common than they first realise, and after two days of Christmas decorations, cookies, and non-stop conversation, it looks like Christmas might be saved after all.

It was sweet
This story was sweet, but a little dragging at times. There was unnecessary extra detail which took me out the book and was a bit dull. I find N.R. Walker books a mixed bag. Some are amazing and some are a bit fluffy and lacking depth or emotional connection. This fell into the latter category. Compared to most M/M books out there this is still a great book. The sorts of ones I love are Evolved by N.R. Walker, and books by Lily Morton, Alice Winters, Tal Bauer, Maz Maddox and Sarina Bowen.

loved it
Its seriously so good, all sugar sweet with little to no angst. My only gripe (little teeny tiny gripe that was actually kind of amusing so not that annoying) was that the narrator (who is native Australian so I can't fault him too much) mispronounces one of the city names (Spokane Washington).
But I highly recommend this story, I loved it. And parts of it were REALLY funny!

Uhmmm....
I'm a fan of NR Walker. I've read and/ or listened several of her books. However, there's so many stereotypes in this book that it's cringe-worthy. *smdh* The narrator isn't bad but he doesn't help with the mis-pronunciation of words when he's speaking for Ren, the American. However, if I was into the book, I would abandon the audio and just read it. But, no.
Unfortunately, this is a DNF at the 50% mark.

Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes
📖 A cute and entertaining story with an easy pace and low drama. The characters are likeable and their story was entertaining. I enjoyed the way Hamish would "translate" an Australian word into American 😆.
🎧🎧 Glen Lloyd's narration just keeps getting better. I had no problem distinguishing characters his rhythm, tone and inflections have done a good job bringing Tic-Tac Mistletoe to life. I can't comment on the authenticity of his American accent, but I had no problem with it - it sounded genuine and worked for me.
